Used a new WR-style to skip one of the brutals on the first floor, instead dodging one of the killers in mid-air. (Rec later)

What the hell am I missing when it comes to the leftmost part? It feels like no matter what I do I can't get a good one-wheel hang.

It comes down to extremely precise timing. You should notice that your back wheel hits the side of the hang just as you volt over it, slowing you down quite a lot and adjusting your rotation. You need to have pretty accurate speed and volt timings to get a good hang and survive the parts directly after where your head is in danger.

Nonetheless, it's one of the more difficult mid-level difficulty tricks to pull off imo.

Had problems with it too, mainly: missing apples after surviving headbang part. Luckily it's like riding a bike, once you get it (even with luck in my case) you can't fail it anymore 8O

Cannot find any advice apart from SPEEEEED. Use maximum speed, that'll got you through anything in elma. (tr levs give you the needed confidence if one finds it too risky after surviving the galore brutal)

Always found that funny, tricks should be ezier with practice speed, but i always only get them when i get frustrated and drive full throttle...Elma is weird.

Igge, maybe you could edit your post and upload one or a few tries? Then we could see if we spot something wrong.

It's been a while since I hoyled it but from just watching my 38,92 and trying to remember I can write down a few things:

 Approach the "hook" with both wheels on the ground.

 Hit brake to fall over anticlockwise. The head should just miss the top side of the hook. Here's one detail I can imagine being tricky so I made a quick sketch trying to explain.
Image
The first scenario is the correct one (or the one most likely to succeed at least). In the first one the braking makes the two wheels almost touch each other at first and the backwheel has a harder time falling over and around the frontwheel. The bike doesn't stretch that much this way and you're more likely to survive once in the hang. In the second scenario, which you should avoid, you approach the hook with an already initiated front weight (perhaps from wrong timing of the brake or hesitation or something). The bike start to stretch as soon as you're in the hook and you're likely to hit your head.

 Once in the hook (by doing the first scenario above) turn your head away from the ground and press left at the right time. If done right in maximum speed your wheel could/should now actually hit the wall and prevent the bike from stretching any further and if you've come this far your head should be in the clear as well.

 Press left to push some speed out from the hook and then another left to prepare for leaving the entire hang.
