Elma Imager - Create Images and Animations from Rec and Lev

Post by ribot »

https://github.com/RobinManoli/elma-imager (note that you don't have to build to install)
Not sure if that version works, try also:
https://up.elma.online/u/0a0a0a0a01/elm ... %20iCS.zip
https://elastomania.wixsite.com/tools/programs
or ask Sla, ribot or iCS on discord

I've made this commandline tool with which you can easily create image sequences or gifs from recs and levs. Imo it could also be easier to create videos.

Supports multi recs, change kuski and shirt (but same kuski and shirt on all recs in the same image sequence), transparent background, custom lgrs, and options for batch processing.

Links recs to your chosen levs, and scales levs and recs.

This tool can also be used to change the speed of a replay.

It's a computer generated rec with altered physics. Rec here: https://elma.online/r/drnj90fzlp

It's actually my AI showing off its pipe skills. (It's really hard to play with altered physics, much harder than it looks).

Basically it just means you can use Elma Imager (somewhat) for modded recs.

What is it that you tried (what version, downloaded from where?) and what was the error message?

The software works but there seems to be some problems with some versions. Have you tried this version: https://up.elma.online/u/0a0a0a0a01/elm ... %20iCS.zip

iCS and Sla can verify that it works:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hujZHbEHwcg
https://elastomania.wixsite.com/tools/programs

As this software (Elma Imager) is an early release there has been some trouble with it. Although the functionality is requested sometimes on discord the community doesn't know about it, so even when someone asks about it people seem reluctant to even acknowledge its existence. So it has been a bit difficult to fix.

Last version to try https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pQGXpJ ... sp=sharing

So I used Elma Imager to generate HD renditions for static level previews, but still haven't been into video-ing anything with it. Dully noted its apparent capabilities of doing so... and maybe for a next elma video that needs it in the future. I just need clear instructions especially for command line software, since I'm a monke behind a keyboard for the most part.

i tried these both npm and .exe methods instructed in here https://github.com/RobinManoli/elma-imager. i can't remember what the error message was in either of them but iirc something was missing.

I don't understand what you're saying exactly, but you can make a series of .png with Elma Imager and then need to use another program to make a video. You can ask iCS or me on discord if you need help

Oke well there was some version with problems, so please try the fixed versions that are linked in this topic. I didn't update github yet as we couldn't remember the error
