HBB CUP!! - sick of internals?

hey all :D

incase nobody knows i have a new site... and just recently the HBB Cup started there...

click here to go to the hbb cup page!!

HBB01 has until 23-01-2004 to be done... so plz compete!!

Also you can send in levels that you think might be fun to play... although i may edit

ok i updated page iob :wink: and i think that ill keep the deadline like that... ill be generous if any come in a wee bit late... 8)

only 2 days to go for hbb01... i have an hbb02 but if any1 wants to put in a level for hbb03-10 u can... (i may reject levels that aren't good)

if so email me zipped levels named as hbbyyyyy.lev (yyyyy = ur name)

edit: and there's an error in events list - best time should be 22.28 as is written in event results

Heh, I had 21.74 :)
I didn't know that it should have been sent yesterday (usually if deadline is 23 January, then you must send it on THAT day, not 22nd).
I don't know if I had sent it otherwise either...I'm so lazy.

I guess that you should have done just as Stini said! I hoyled that level cause I wanted to win, and if you would have done as in other places, I would have won... I had 19,74...

yeah sorry... ok ill try to make a team standing but wont put up till next major update... ok yeah i was gong away on the 23rd so i had to quickkly update it otherwise it would have been done now... but yeah now the deadline will be the day that it says (what stini sed)

ok i updated the site and fixed those mistakes that i made... only 2 days left for HBB02!! 8O

and also i thought of the idea where the next level of the cup is released on the last day of the current level... i dunno... wot do u reckon somebody??

p.s send me the rec dyrox... i dont believe ur time :?

EDIT: To make the Cup more fun get more people to play! :roll:

I sent my result before yesterdays noon and today I received the same warning mail as Stini. Maybe our mails arrived to you before midnight, but if someone sent just before deadline and got the same answer...

you've only entered the cup for 1 level so maybe u should submit some quality levels of ur own... if u r not satisfied with my levs

Yes, the scoring system isn't as good as it could be, I've noticed that too, but I'm too lazy to complain :)
There should be a bigger gap in points between the higher positions and a smaller gap on lower positions (or constant gap for all the positions). Like I've won 3 of 4 events and still Lakimies is only 6 points away from me 8O . Of course it's easy for me to complain about such things as a leader of the cup, but the pointing system should be different (as it has been almost in every cup before).
Though I don't think that it should be changed during this cup. We've already played half of the cup and changing the pointing system would just make everything more messy. Let's use it to the end.

yeah...now i look at it like that it seems a bit stupid... i spose i never competed in it so i dont kno how good/bad it really is...

oh well next cup ill get a scoring system that works better... how about this ---> 50 40 32 26 20 15 12 9 7 5??

I just read this topic for the first time in a month... I saw that ppl are disappointed with the scoring system. Here's the scoring system I use in Mopo Kup:

Place: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20
Points: 40 36 32 28 26 24 22 20 18 16 14 12 10 8 6 5 4 3 2 1

Noone has complained about it yet, so i suppose it's good...
It gives points to 20 players, but since this cup only gives points to 10, maybe you could use every other points, like this:

40 32 26 22 18 14 10 6 4 2

Looks good?

It was nice cup, both organization and levels were good, thanks. Too bad that there weren't too much players.

btw if someone's interested here's my rec from last event that would be better than winner's time by over second if only I wouldn't miss flower. This style was invented by Schizmo and he also was close to finish with it.
