-= The guide to Elasto Mania programs =-

Post by zworqy »

http://zworqy.com/elmaguide/

Here's a big secret project i've been working on during the weekend, though still there's a lot missing.

Here's what should be added:
  • A FAQ. Maybe some general Elma Q's but mostly about common problems with programs.
  • More programs! Tell me about all (public) progs i have forgot or if you make new ones.
  • Maybe something about vsync/tuning
NOTE: I hope I don't have to do all this by myself. Please send me (mopolauta pm, #across pm, mail) some questions for the FAQ (preferably with answers too), tips for editors etc.

PS. Also tell me if you like the design :wink:
PS 2. I hope noone minds me putting their progs on this site

Edit: I changed teh URL and removed done things from teh to-do list.

If you need any input thats specifically newbish let me know ;) Otherwise I'm sure I wouldn't be able to fine-tune-review anything. Still, once its finished it will be a great resource :)

Would anyone happen to have patches (1.1, 1.2) for Across? Maybe unnecessary but still interesting.

I have them, ask me in IRC.

I'm interested to see a vsync article. Really.

Is there a program to check what class (target times) your times are, or do i have to check this for myself?

elmastat made by me can do this for you, though i haven't updated it since 2003 january :S

if there is serious demand, i might update but it would be just better if someone else would put support for it in his own program :)

you can get the most recent international version (dated 2002 may) here: http://harleqin.elte.hu/~joe/elmastat1.1i.zip

anyways it has some nice features but i got bored to improve it

Thank you very much. In fact, it's kinda new program, only the outlook
may look old. And i'm still developing it :)

zwirqy, the "Elma 1.2 final by Hibernatus" is with the editor bug or not? I think that's quite important to mention. Great site by the way.

There is both beta witout bug and final with bug. (Is there a bugfixed final version?)

You should mention the fact that elma 1.2 final contains a bug, that's what dz meant.

Please mention that your 'final' contains that bug. Because bugless version exists.

how come this final version converts bricks from internal levels to ground and is there a way to set defaults? i find it really annoying playing pipe (30) with a ground texture on for example, hard to get used to such changes. tho i have to say i really loved the way hb sky was modified

Code: Select all

function gotoProgram()
        {
               if (programSelect.value)
               {
                     parent.frames['main'].location = programSelect.value;
               }

        }
This is the javascript function in question.
