Uni - The greatest levelpack ever

Post by zebra »

I finally published my biggest-ever levelpack, Uni, which I have been making past 3 years.

See more info here: http://koti.mbnet.fi/zebra/uni.html

Direct link to levels: http://www.kulde.net/zebra/Unilevs.zip

So, maybe it's time to forget internals for a while and höyl some uni :)
Enjoy the levels :)

Also #unilevels available in IRCnet.

yeah i'm gonna repeat as well by saying really great levels! i think i should give it a try now if i'll dare to do it of course ;)
the only think i disliked maybe was all this picture abuse in most of levels

btw zebra, when will you publish your Pipo level pack ? i was hoping it would be published with tables and stuff on the same day as unis but i guess i'll have to wait some more.

hmm, thanks to you all :)

what do you mean by picture abuse? If you don't like pictures, just use HighQ.lgr.

Pipo won't be published in near future, and it's not going to be very big pack (at least not so big as uni). Pipe level designing is a little different thing. They are all kinda same and that's why i'm not very big fan of all of them. After you have seen one, you have seen them all. The difference between good and bad pipe level is a lot smaller than the difference between good and bad normal lev. But let's see now when uni's are done do I have energy to make some pipes...

aww cmon... it doesnt have to be as tremendous as uni pack to be published as a good pack.

and as for pipe levels, those arent boring at all, dame. well.. it all does depends on how you're going to design it. good pipes are zigy and curvy ones of course :) becouse those offer lots of action and fun of course! boring pipes are those straight ones somewhat, those without tricks and stuff so i wouldnt agree with you saying that pipes are boring, it just all depends on how you're designing it.

make it 50 lev pack couse i cant wait :o

ok, I'm waiting... no hurry.

For all who have just been cruising the levs through and don't have recs for every lev: If you don't have wrs, it's enough that you send your levstats.txt to me, no recs or levs needed (because it would be too arduous to check them all manually). Recs needed only if they are wrs.

Don't think like that, you would get all your times to http://koti.mbnet.fi/zebra/uni_table_005.txt and your TT (or finished levels) to the table.

Updated.

Tisk [FM] did it what we all thought was impossible: he beat Markku's total time by amazing 0.07 seconds! He also took amazing 133 new wrs.

Nice to see something happening after one year of level pack release.

Here is the current top 10:

Code: Select all

1. Tisk [FM] 2:06:59,23
2. Markku 2:06:59,30
3. axxu [AC] 2:07:52,26
4. psy 2:10:07,05
5. antz [Quack] 2:16:58,51
6. zebra [TAP] 2:17:15,91
7. aavv [AC] 2:19:58,39
8. skint0r [IV] 2:25:42,88
9. kinghias [kt] 2:33:22,36
10.Kopaka [LaMe] 2:47:06,38

heh, I remember that I asked that from balazs like 5 years ago.
I think he said something that my levs were good but they want to make the internals themselves (he, mue, csaba etc i don't know).
But at the moment it seems that elma 2 is not coming, and not even desired now when we have belma.

Maybe I should do a elma.res with uni levs, i remember that there was a program for that, i just don't remember which it was... ;)

Just use lev2leb to convert to internal level format, then resedit to make the res file.

Just in case, if i did that, would it be legal to distribute the elma.res which would consist only of uni levels?

Anyway, that would be kinda useless...

Don't see why not. As far as I know, the only difference between the demo and registered version of elma is the inclusion of all the internal levels in the .res file.

Table 32 up: http://koti.mbnet.fi/zebra/uni.html / http://koti.mbnet.fi/zebra/uni_table_032.html

adi [MiE] took amazing 178 new wrs, can you believe it? It must have been hours and hours of hoyling. If uni level pack is the greatest level pack ever, adi is not far from being the greatest externalist ever. His wrs were totally awesome. Sick tricks, bounces and styles everywhere. Thanks, adi.
