I'm guessing CMC used pho nick earlier. That level on kopasite was sent to a competition few years back, and with nick pho in the mail.

kopaka there's something wrong with your system imho. umiz had 7.95 on some RHP level (39 or so) which was record. than i made 7.95 too, sent in and got first place. usually the one who sends in first has the record. or does it count with 7.xxx

Hey Kopaka I am working in two new packs: 1)Only Bounces Level Pack and 2)Easy Pipes Level Pack. I think that each one will have 15 levels. Can you publish them in Kopasite?

It also seems like that the site you linked to is a bit messed up, it says this in the description: "A new level pack with 38 levels by umiz." but if you look at the levs it's actually 1337 levs and some MIRROR levs :/

EDIT: sach mongo i am, maybe thats what you meant with "seems like ramble scramble has been around :P"

EDIT 2: whole kopasite seems to be messed up.

So I'm doing some updates, one of which is the kinglist. The plan is to make all levels count on the kinglist. I've been thinking of not making all levels count the same, f.ex. hoyla levs could count only 50% because they're so short ect. I've diveded the levels into these catagories, so I would like your opinion, should some of them count less or not at all(in which case they'll get their own kinglist)?

Firstly why did you leave out danpe levels from that list? It's the best (only) pack i have played since that site got good =)

And i think that people should get points = (time spent) * (skill) and since these two variables is pretty hard to measure. So points should not be based on length of level, because i atleast spend less time on long levels and most time on medium levels.

But what really would be fair is that more popular levelpacks give more points. What about this formula:
A = Avg number of players that have finished each level in a certain levelpack.
K = Points added to kinglist.
L = Points a certain player has in a certain levelpack.
K = L * (1 + 1/A) ^ (A - 2)

Example:
If zworqy has 100points in the unpopular levepack BLP, which has 5 players who finished each level. Then he gets 172 points in the kinglist.

But Tijsjoris has 100points in the popular ALP, which has 10 players who finished each level. Then he gets 214 points in the kinglist.

And Jeppe has 100points in the very popular CLP, which has 20 players who finished each level. Then he gets 240 points in the kinglist.

This gives more points to the players who have gained points in levelpacks with high competition.

Don't forget the ShareWare levels, i've spent a bit of time on them.

Otherwise, it's a cool idea. I'm always on the fence with score systems like Juski. Kinda nice but, i don't know. I always liked classic top10 gets points, others got 0. More simple!

Anyway, just my thoughts.

I made a new design for kopasite. Along with it comes a few new features, and more will come soon (but vacation now). Read kopasite news for detailed info.

One of new features to come could be themes, so if you liked old design better you could choose that instead, but this won't be high priority unless it's wanted.

It's because you( or however it happened) renamed the qumiz levels to uppercase, that fucks it up :I If I remember right I found some fix last time it happened.

they were already in uppercase...

isn't there a function in PHP to put any string in lowercase (strtolower if i remember correctly)? Couldn't you just lowercase the string before manipulating it?

don't know if it's a local bug but, when i try to add a new record on your site, it gives me that error:

Code: Select all

Unknown column 'FMPi01' in 'field list'
and that happens for any record, even non FMPi levels (like umiz levels)
so, i can't add new times

EDIT: Well, it seems like the times are added but, the message still pops up after the uploading and the time does not appear on the main page (newest times)
EDIT2: I observed that i got no points for the latest records i updated (FMPi and some umiz)... tell me if you understand what happens!
