After months of waiting it's finally released. I feel the soundtracks ended up being a bit rushed, but people kept whining so this is as good as it gets. Hope I didn't make any big mistakes anywhere, these last few days has been a bit hectic trying to finish everything up.

Wow, what a movie no matter how you look at it. I was on the edge of Mitchanity during the whole run (skon0r knows).
I chose the trance soundtrack for my first viewing and I must say I really liked the picks. Have to go through the movie with each soundtrack soon. Superb sound and video quality for your maximum enjoyment. I liked it. I didn't notice any mistakes in the movie for that matter. If I really had to pick something negative it would have something to do with the credits. The idea was really nice but it didn't work out perfectly for some reason (I recall you thought the same about them). By all means they were still good. I would give them eight and a half out of ten.
And now into the recs. Simply insane driving especially by Zweq. Sick brutals, bounces and bouncebrutals everywhere! When I saw him starting to make a brutal on Ramp Frenzy I was thinking "No you won't!". There were quite a few nice styles in the movie. I was positively surprised by John's style at the end of Headbanger. The same goes for Apple Harvest (Zweq's styles?). Animal Farm was also in a class of it's own in. Well, I won't be going through all of them. See for yourself and get overwhelmed.
It took a while to get this masterpiece finally produced but I assure you it was worth the wait. I would rate it as 9+/10.
Thanks veezay, thanks WR holders and whoever were involved. Last but not least:
Thanks skint0r!
Ps. Very nice rec jaytea especially for such a long level.

WOW!
That was some astonishing movie.
My impressions after watching:
- Zweq has an unheard-of control over his bike. What this man can do is just purely unbelievable.
- I had no idea that Curvaceous and Anal Farm WRs were so sick.
- Wow, zweq.. those brutals...
- I'm no professional, yet New Wave and Shelf Life look like they could be easily improved if driven with just a little bit more courage, or a slightly more daring style (what I'd expect, naturally, from Zweq and John, without underestimating any others. Anyway, atm I'm looking forward for memph's hoyling in NW).
- The movie is no less professional than the recs it includes. The soundtrack was great, the credits were magnificent (10/10), and you know, even the slightest things - like the WR holder name and the WR time - were put into the movie very aesthetically. Well done for everyone who took part in the making of this movie, and especially you, skint.
- Oh! And nice Haircut WR, John! Though I hope you won't stop hoyling until you regain the 38.7x you've missed
(look at OMG NO topic)
- Wow, this Zweq... Hi-Flyer... Steppes... Ramp Frenzy... I think he just invented the "brutal brutal"
Great WRs, great movie!
Seeding.

Low Quality

Video: XviD 640x480 25fps 400kbps
(encoded with two-pass in cartoon mode, H.263 Quantization)
-> http://www.elmasite.com/stuff/EDQ_low.avi (214 MB)
Video data without 4 audio tracks would be only 110 MB.

Well, I guess all has been said here already. Awesome work skint, and Zweq... could barely believe my eyes when I saw that Ramp Frenzy trick.
Only have one question though: Why was the background on Headbanger changed to sky, while the one on Double Trouble was not, and on Downhill you've changed both the background and the foreground? But maybe you weren't really aware of this; probably having had those settings for 7 years.

Haeh yea something like that. I believe I used that old PropRepl.exe program to change the background in those levels way way back, but I guess I didn't play Double Trouble too much back then. I didn't even think of it when watching the replays or movie because I've become so used to it. I decided not to use the default ground/sky option in ElmaConf in order to retain the feel of all the internals with the different ground textures.SveinR wrote:Only have one question though: Why was the background on Headbanger changed to sky, while the one on Double Trouble was not, and on Downhill you've changed both the background and the foreground? Not really.. that's not even close to being the same as merging replays. And also, here you don't here the sound of the bike, which is another thing that makes it less easy for you to copy the styles.KD wrote:milagros: using pause in the video and watching the timer its practically the same.
One thing I don't get though skint, is why you would bother to change the foreground of Downhill all those years ago, of course playing with any other background than sky is horrid. But I guess you don't really know the answer to that yourself

SveinR: then i guess we use different methods for rec-copying (which i rarely use i have to admit
). I don't miss sound, nor the actual merging of replays. Watching the time and the speed of the kuski tells everything for me. Not that i would like to höyl Warm Up now. That one would probably be handy having a rec.

Let's say it like that: if someone's really into copying one of the WR styles, he can do it using the movie.
However, if you want to merge recs out of pure curiosity / just for the fun of it, then I guess you'll have to give up, for it is highly inconvenient.

team EM - why not ok?
I noticed this also when I was enjoying the video. I'm a bit disappointed that not default back-/foreground was not used but that doesn't matter too much.SveinR wrote:Only have one question though: Why was the background on Headbanger changed to sky, while the one on Double Trouble was not, and on Downhill you've changed both the background and the foreground?

Other improvement suggestion I thought of was that after each level there would be a short pause, like 1-2sec. Maybe you could show something during the little pause, or some fancy effect. But mainly only reason for the pause is that I felt that the transition from a level to another is too quick and "dull". It's also a minor detail so doesn't matter too much either.
Then some good things: the video was otherwise amazing! I didn't listen all soundtracks yet, but the gameplay included many completely new tricks and many little movement details that made it very interesting to watch. Thanks to everyone who contributed in any way.
They're all in the end credits, a couple of seconds after the list of all the times.Mick wrote:maybe i'm stupid and it's right in front of me but where can i find the track listings for all the soundtracks?
I sort of know what you mean, but I didn't really know what else to do. Generally I'm very much anti-effects kind of guy. The main idea was to fade between recs, but I didn't want to "ruin" any of the replays by not showing them completely, and freeze-framing them seemed to make the movie too "slow" in a way.dz wrote:Other improvement suggestion I thought of was that after each level there would be a short pause, like 1-2sec.
