I think we could have next FFCup relatively soon. As before, all I need is levels. I have been gathering levels for this cup for years, but still it was very problematic to get enough levels in time, so I hope that you already start sending those. There could be more variety in the levels too perhaps. Unconventional levels that I could include

• Pipes.
• Short but hard ones. Like three tricky spots you must manage to pass finish.
• Multiroute ones where you have to decide your route during the countdown based on preview.

I am going to make a recsource thing for each event where you can up your recs and thus get partial replay of the event (you can merge all the recs upped there).

I hope it is possible to have a new one at FEM - it's about time! If we will manage to make it, it will probably take place on Sunday 23.7.. And at the moment I have zero levels so any level is welcomed!

The rules are as usual: levelmakers are not allowed to play their own level but there are 5 skips out of 10 levels.

Since the frequency of FF Cups has not been very high since 2009, a short recapitulation of the rules and the concept is most likely for the good. There are 10 events with 5 skips. You are allowed to play all the levels, just 5 of your worst results are eliminated. The point system is as follows:

So tomorrow is the big day! Few more words about the concept: there are going to be first five levels after which there is a break with a normal battle, followed by last 5 levels.

Results will be presented in #FFC6 at ircnet and they are calculated with a script. The results can be edited manually and since we are having this special situation with FEM and FF-cup combined here, I will manually include times driven here even in the case of disconnection problems.

In the last level we might not get 15 finishers, so it might be possible to get to the points just with an apple result. But in this case it will not be allowed to skip harder apples - the apples must be taken in a correct order!

FFC6 delayed at least by 30 minutes due to the situation at FEM. Another contest just ended and people went shopping to the city and everything. Also there is still work left done with the levels

Pretty dominating performance by Zero, very well done! Overall the cup was pretty successful - amount of players was high and I had the privilege of witnessing really impressive playing performances by many different players IRL. The top 3 will reserve personalized diploma level battles some day!

Some levels had some errors, worst one of which was in the last level (start was way too hard due to some accidentally moved vertex, there was an invisible polygon in the end and an annoying style that killed some people was possible in the 10th apple). A fixed version (FFC110a.lev) is added to the database, and also included in the above levelpack. The levelpack is aimed for some random cruising, and I don\t think that it really makes sense to include the pretty unplayable (even though finishable) version.

too bad i had to get up very early so i couldnt play. saw from few people mention they liked my levs which im glad about. few people mentioned some impsy spikes which im sure was just nabness because i tested that spot with nabest style i could think of and easily possible (people tried some suicide volts i guess), nom edited my levels though and maybe its some different spot that was changed, havent tested yet.

will play the levels for sure though, i probably shouldnt say this but i have best time in like 95% of ffcup levels, rip my records. big thanks to nom for organizing this thing, ffcups need to happen more often!

The amount of players outside of FEM was surprisingly high, which was a very positive surprise, it wasn't like this for two previous summertime FEM FF-cups. It was a very fun spy!

Mats donated a small drone for the winner, and Zero very handily happened to be present at FEM, so the process of handing it to him was very straightforward :)

The levels were really good and the last YALE level was a fun way to end the contest. Very intense battle with Markku

Thanks for organizing, levels were all of very high quality and it was a nice mix of different of different styles of FF levs. My favourite was easily the last lev, exactly my cup of tea!
