Berh hacked himself to one of my advertising ff-battles before it started so I actually was afraid from some problems. Before them it looked like very nice ff-cup.

Then I guess due to combination of berh and too many people weren't able to dl levels at all and also nobody was able to connect the ftp and start battles. Many got tired of all this mongoing an left. After all this the rest levels went through without any problems and there were some nice battles. Especially Jappe's final event was max battle.

The used way of giving points:

And as you can see from the results the victory went to Middle Europe again, but this time by GRob! Very nicely done since his worst result in top 5 was 2nd, grats. Adi did it very well too by winning as much events as GRob but having bad 8th place in his top 5. Also adi won the surely most skillful event - the final event by Jappe2 which should actually be a 40 or 50 points event insted of 30.

Anyway no new FFC in at least 2-3 months: Because of these all kind of problems this was pretty stressful and the preparations ate some time too. And surely it must be waited until the EOL comes to get rid of those bloody ftp problems. (Someone else is max allowed to arrange FFC4 anytime though. I'll give the point calculation program to you then).

Very nice cup it was, nom! Some pretty nice levels in there :)

pretty sad that i played all 10 levels and boneless comes along and plays the last level and beats my overal score. Maybe I am just like zweq in the fact that I have mad skill in every other aspect of the game, but not when it comes to FF's.

This FF cup is not such an event like a previous ones, it wasn't announced enough so people like Ramone and xenomorph (sorry for misspelling name) started their own levels, which were aborted by Ali... that was really bad imo, because those levels are lost now. unfortunately Ramone started to act like a 5yo gay kid horribly spamming DIE DIE etc, so chat became completely unreadable :( That's really sad Ram, you should just be angry for a while and say to you "oh, fuck them", not do what you've actually done.

I hope that the rest of the levels will be played without disturbs, good luck :D

well sounds like I didn't miss out on much then. should get a small one going this weekend. and ramone I thought u were as old as me so u probably shouldn't be spamming. Noob calling is one thing but spamming is a bit anoying.

Then adi became second and GRob 3rd, nice playing from them too. The complete results can be seen in the text file below.

The idea to this surprise FF-cup came from belma and people were eager to play and promised to make 10 levels so I sure thought that okay then, let's arrange a new, a bit less serious FF-cup! It provided very nice battles and fun time but also some grief when it was taken seriously after all and some normal battles, like Ramone's one, were aborted. Also due to small arranging time some levels weren't good and people got annoyed from them. From this I learnt that FF-cup should be arranged properly or not at all. It means that we'll have proper break now (maybe till autumn) and I'll also test play all levels and start them myself - noticed that arranging this is so hectic that impsy to play at the same time too. Better just to get some popcorn and concenrate on relaxing and chatting. :)

well, agree with jappe, still, i preferred this to sundays one, EXCEPT the ramones thing.

It is really wrong that someone uses 3 hours for a level by hoping it is max and another player aborts it. Really if this gets ban, why dont we kill some russians to give equal punishments?

I think this would have been cooler with some different name, not FFC, and less levels. But on the other hand the playing in this cup was in better level than for example at FFC2 (for some reason just few players there) so the value of the cup maybe didn't get inflated.

Surely not. Too much people seems to fuck up the belma and nobody can download the level then. Even today there were bit problems with that. We must wait for EOL and also not orka heh.

EOL will not use ftp at all, instead levels/replays and up/downloaded using mySQL which should be able to handle quite a lot more.

3 weeks is nothing, during all these years since the previous FFC I have been thinking there will be more. Besides I said at least after FEM I will have time, and FEM is not yet. =)

I think many different kind of levels are needed. There's going to be 10 levels, so most levels should be about 3-6mins long, and perhaps 1-2 longer ones. Most importantly they should be non-confusing. Something like sanpos would be nice. :)

pls a little longer, 3 mins is way too short imo. i'd do like 6x 5-7 mins, 2x 7-10 mins, 1x 15 mins and 1x 20 mins or something like that.

I like Lukazz' suggestion, with those levels total battletime it would be around 3h if battletime is 2x level length, maybe harder levels need longer though.

I think it would be great to have an another FF cup in the FEM! The athmosphere in the cabin while the cup is played would be awesome!

In my previous level collection attempt I received one (1) level. I hope I will get more this time - I will have time for making perhaps one level myself so I would really need levels from as many of you as possible!

Bump. Please send some levels, I really would need some!

Also, when would you like to have this cup? The options for date are in 14.8.-16.8. (Friday-Sunday). If it is on Friday it should be quite late since many arrive to FEM very late. If it is on Saturday it couldn't be very late since probably beer battle begins perhaps as early as 15:00 Finnish time. On Sunday many leave so it couldn't be very late then either.

No, but there are plenty of skips. Previously there has been as much as 5 of them (from 10 events). I guess it is the same now as well. But of course if you make a level and have to skip it, it's a small disadvantage for you. But IIRC I partly put the amount of skips so high to make that disadvantage small.

My level situation starts to look better but there is still space for more. =)

The cup will be most likely arranged on Sunday at afternoon (beginning perhaps 14:00 or 15:00 Finnish time). I will announce soon the exact time!

Stokestoke, it's about 12 hours to the cup only anymore! The exact time isn't decided but it's around 2-3PM Finnish time. The concept is as before - first five levels and then a brake and then five levels again. Only 5 best placements count so you can take risks when you ride (50% success ratio is enough).
