New Elma Graphics

Post by Yah »

Here's a new 'skin' for all you happy Elma players! It has the same kind of theme as the original graphics, but I've tried to steer clear of the well worn 'radioactive' colour schemes.
You can see a screenshot HERE
And you can download the lgr HERE
It's a 383kb .zip file, and the lgr file is already named 'Default.lgr', so back up your old one!

Comments are welcome! :D

It looks really sweeet on the screenshot, so I'll try it.
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

Like I said earlier, the LGR is great, but it doesn't have enough contrast between the different textures and the bike. It's very pretty, but it's not very good if you're höyling for example.
Still it's one of the better LGRs I've seen.

I love it, but it's too sad. Please make a blue sky and it will be perfect. I hope some beautiful levs will be made for it (and playable with full video detail). Tip: in your lgr, put every default distance far enough, so that people who make levs with it don't have to manually move every picture to the background.

Is the killer supposed to have a white dot on top of it?

Thanks for all the comments!
In response to........

MagnusB: Since I'm not a höyler I'm not entirely sure how it would be best to fix this......Making the bike and rider brighter colours wouldn't be too hard, so I might consider it.....

Kopaka: What do you mean by it not being called Default.lgr....? I'm a bit confused....But thanks for using it in your next level!

Stini: I don't have full Elma so I'm not sure what you mean! Good or Bad?

ChuckleS: Silver??

Z1: I'll think about changing the sky, but I quite like it atm....Nice and mellow! Also, what is the default distance, and how would I change it?

SveinR: That's due to me not using very many shades of red...I'll try and sort that out...

Everyone else: Thanks again for the kind words!

Silver...In Framework and Downhill both foreground and background are silver. Its hard to see, but makes you concentrate more

This wasn't as good as it looked in the screenshot, sorry.

All textures are too similar.
Why are there two textures with white stone?

And the "untouched" pictures look seriously out of place.

Actually, this LGR is probably very good for levels designed especially for it, but since it was aimed to be a replacement for default.lgr... well, you see what I mean.
<Fihlvein> another case of zworqy-is-always-right closed i guess
<yoosef> zworqy doesnt suck at anything

You should fix the fault you see when you play Turnaround...
