The thing is I don't wanna waste time adding it to the current site when I'm working on a new (and it's impossible to make code that is directly transferable), so it won't be till the new is ready. But that is quite close, only real big thing is admin page for which I could just keep the old page somewhere. When it's ready mopobattle stats is top priority. Quite busy with some non elma stuff atm. though so it will be a couple weeks at least.

Mopobattle 174 was postponed for tomorrow because kopacup deadline seems to be today. I don't want mopobattles to interfere with big cups. I guess kopacup is kinda big cup :) We can of course discuss this later but today this is the best solution.

So lets see you on Monday at 21.00 EEST.

This is when mopobattle would've started:
[25-03]-(21:19:10) (@eol-server) *************** Battle in hezoyl25.lev (others hidden) started by zweq, duration 11 mins ***************

This is when it would've ended:
[25-03]-(22:04:10)

Last week Kopacup results came at this time:
[18-03]-(22:04:09) (@KOPASITE[]) KOPASITE 10TH ANNIVERSARY CUP EVENT 1 RESULTS

Saying that last hour cup höyling is important for someone can make sense, but mopobattle time has been out there for the whole week. He could've adjusted his last hour höyling to take place before mopobattle.

Yes, it's good to not have mopobattle and cups interfere with each other, but postponing mopobattle 10 mins before it should've started is NOT the way to go. It makes scheduling things a bit fuckload harder when instead of one week you have ten minutes.

I wouldn't call mopobattle "partying". But you have a point there. We can have a short break in mopobattles now and move the next mopobattle to next week (dunno yet which weekday).

About possible points system for the cup:

I've written down the number of players and the number of finishes for each mopobattle to have something to go on.

Code: Select all

# Players Finished
164 60 33
165 61 43
166 50 36
167 54 34
168 60 44
169 44 36
170 44 34
171 44 21
172 39 28
173 39 34
174 44 28
175 25 17
176 36 29
We see that usually there are about 30 finishers, give or take a few. The "odd man out" here is #175, which was the one that took place on a Saturday afternoon and got a substantially less amount of players. Some wanted that generally you had to finish in order to qualify for points, and based on this it looks like it's not really needed to award points to more than the top 30 in that case. The number of players have stabilized around 40-45 after the initial five battles.

I think it could be healthy that not everyone who enters "automatically" gets points (which would often be the case in awarding the top 40 points), so that weaker players might strive to get "into the points" in the top 30 for instance, and make an accomplishment that way.
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

Yep, it seems that the best solution would be to give points for top 30.

I heard rumours that Bjenn can't play on Tuesday so I moved the mopobattle to Sunday at 22.00 EEST. This means that the battle will start when kopacup event deadline has passed.

The real reason is that I'm not at my computer on Tuesday. Don't worry, I'm not moving mopobattle because of Bjenn (or some other kuski) :D

The next 3 battles will be 60 min battles. They are maybe a bit harder than previous ones, but not necessarily longer.

So does this mean it is postponed or preponed? Meaning if the Sunday in question is this Sunday or next week? Would be fun to always have the exact date mentioned.
