I have created an uphill generator, maybe you can create some uphills with it and practice. Ofc it creates a bit different kind of levels than the ones someone actually made and possibly even tested, but I think they are pretty ok for an uphill.. http://gen.oktobia.org/

Max fps imo, bcz easier spinning. But with low fps you can get into narrow hole and get vsync acceleration :) Maybe useful in some zehills or nekffls

Medium fps is best. Max fps makes the bike sort of stiff.

haha, i actually remember when that lev was battled. i remember it, because of the part from 8th to 9th apple. when it was battled - it was a few years ago, during the uphill-phase - everyone shouted for abort, because general uphill-skill, especially with the spins, wasn't so good back then. i think i managed to do that part after the battle, but took quite long till i succeeded.
nowadays feels kinda easiy, but it's really no shame i you can't do that. spinning requires a lot of practice for non-pros and two spins in a row can be tough.

I wonder if it's possible to find out what was the very first uphill level of this kind ever and who made it. Was it even Nekit who actually triggered this uphill era?

nekit played a big role at least. he started so many nekffs with zero apples back then. don't remember many other names in that context, only remember JGT levs by... juha(?), which are pretty awesome because they are almost impsy but still possible somehow. and then some hills by morgan, and of course zehills.

oh yeah, right.
http://mopolauta.moposite.com/viewtopic.php?t=6763

as you can see he didn't make a lot of uphills, but for me the JTG levs are kinda legendary, because juhnu doesn't seem to be a very good player himself, but he always made levs that are extremely hard but still somehow possible, although he wasn't able to finish the levs himself. he said that he couldn't even make many parts when he was testing the levs, but it seems that he has a feeling for what's possible and what's not, and i think that's what makes these levs so cool, because i suppose zweq is testing every part of his zehills.

Jokink? =D Pretty sure zweq has a good eye for possibilities, no need to test.

where it started bla bla has been discussed before. It all happened because of first finish battlemode, first there were cruises then some pepol made hard levs, and then teajay made hard levs that had only uphill and nothing else. and all that happend in 2007. There have been uphill levs long before but I don't think they were very popular until first finish battlemode

I just realized why it's useless to do teh "turn for rotation" in some smooth hill segments. Because it's wheel rotation that rotates bike, nat gas itself, so as long as frontwheel doesn't hit ground and you don't brake, front wheel will keep turning bike clockwise as much as it can. Stupid me, haven't thought about this before, maybe helpful for someone.

Most of these are uphills and some of them can be really difficult or even impsy.. For uphill practicing try the levs from 0035 to 0080 or so.. Have "fun"! ;)

True, but in most uphills where turning at least one time for front wheel spin you most likely have to brake and push down anyway. Dunno if what i just said was clear, but what I mean is if you have to turn and spin down the wheel once you must be in quite a steep hill, and in such steep hills you most likely have to brake for each push, and not just do solo alos. If you're in a flat enough hill that solo alos do the trick, you almost never have to turn to spin wheel down anyway, even if you don't have any pre-spin.

I would recommend my levels called NY01-63 and NU01-99 (all made quickly without testing for Nekit to play out-of-blale, but absolute majority is pos and not too hard)
then I have some pack that was supposed to be How To Upik or something with 10-15 levels that I was gonna polish and release but too lazy and never did, might do something about it in the future tho..
