Please fix rec download from the EOL site...
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

today was the most exciting battle of the last 2 weeks for me. awesome lev, awesome win rec, many great times!
since i won't be able to play tomorrow, I'm saying thank you already, to ram and whoever else organized this, and to the many kuskis that participated. the last two weeks have been awesome, i hope we're gonna have a battle cup every year now!

Thank you very much :) This is exactly what we hoped for, making the idea live. If someone will organize a second WBC next year or any time I will be really stoked :p

I'm really sad that once again none of my levels made it into the cup...

OK, the cup is over. Grats zweq for win!

Some thoughts:
- The concept was really nice, and I believe the participants really liked it
- A lot of elite players participated and played seriously, which is great
- I'm kinda disappointed with the arrangement with
  • - promised site never showing up
    - questions mostly not being answered / important info not being very available
    - player feedback not being held in high regard. IMO during the cup it became apparent that people would prefer battle-like levels (and I got the mental image that the levels were going to be such), but instead half of the levels were levels that would fit better in a normal cup (multiroute stylefind gaks). For me - and probably many others - it was just frustrating to search for the best style in a long hard lev for half of the battle, and then having to execute that style in such a short time.
So, while I really liked the cup, I think there's much to improve for next time :)

I don't really agree with you there. Apart from 107, which really would've been an excellent cup level and maybe 104, which I didn't like at all, I think all the levels were great and pretty hoylable in 60 mins. I mean ye 109 was probably frustrating for some, but damn, imo that was one of the greatest battles I played in a long time. And as you can see from the recs 60 mins were an acceptable amount of time. You can't really say that Zweq's and nom's rec are crappy.

But on all the other points i totally agree.
