Elasto Mania Grand Prix - RESULTS UPDATED 29/05/2016

Post by Ruben » 20 May 2016, 20:26

Elasto Mania Grand Prix

Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to present Elasto Mania Grand Prix, the most prestigious championship of its kind in Elma history! (it is also the only championship of its kind in Elma history, but that's besides the point). The championship has been carefully designed to test many different aspects of your Elma skills, and only a true champion can emerge victorious. The levels are easy to complete but hard to master, so remember to bring only your very best underwear for the occation!

Rules

One hour, six levels
Over the course of one hour, you will be subjected to six different levels, each with a battletime of eight minutes, with the exception of the last level which will be ten minutes.

Points
For each level, points will be awarded to the top 10 finnishers accordingly:

1st place: 25 points
2nd place: 18 points
3rd place: 15 points
4th place: 12 points
5th place: 10 points
6th place: 8 points
7th place: 6 points
8th place: 4 points
9th place: 2 points
10th place: 1 point

Winner
Whoever has accumulated the highest total of points at the end of the hour is the winner, and there truly is no greater honour on this Earth. You will also be awarded a funny picture I found on the internet.

When
The Grand Prix will be hosted SUNDAY 29/05/2016 20:00 GMT, I'm certain you are able to figure out when this is in your time zone.

Good luck, and may the best kuski win!

Yeah you're correct, Polx. Initially I thought that cup was only on Saturdays, but it worked out fine anyway so I won't move it. Don't miss it, it will be glorious!

EDIT: Well I moved it. 20:00 GMT.

Is it convenient Ruben? Ppl will need more time to arrange (two hours playing continously) and right after playing mawlimination, players could be thinking on results of mawli, but no, theyll need to start playing rapidly your cup...
Not so convenient for me. There should be atleast one hour of break.

Hmm... Oke maybe that's a good idea, I guess people could use a break anyway. I didn't look closely enough at your schedule, and thought there was only one 30 min lev. I'll change it to 20:00 GMT

It's just the one hour event, no more. Of course I plan on making more of these in the future in different varieties if people like it, maybe tweaking some things based on feedback. The idea was to make some sort of multilev competition where people didn't have to make time several weeks in a row.

doesnt change the results, but madik got 82 (not 92) points :p

the contest was really really fun imo, 1h and 6 events, feels nice if you ask me, cool drama and emotions etc
i dont really have any flaw to point out, the levels were quite simple (obv for 8min balle), yet there were multiple styles used, and the winning recs often surprised some of the players, very well done

not much of a surprise about the winner, gratz zero
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

If you want help, I can make a lev for the next event. Not sure if I'll manage to create cool visuals like yours though. I think most of my levels look fairly standard with nothing really standing out.

Don't worry about visuals, the main problem is that then you couldn't participate. I won't say no to help in future seasons, though (:

@everyone:
I would also like to say thank you all for the positive reception. This will definitely be repeated.
