Excuse me sirs and friends, and Madness.
Can we try to make donations for prize money this year?
If we gather some small amount it can be given to the winnare, and if there is a lot we could have a money pool for both first, second and third placements.

And I have an idea about payment.
Everyone who wants to donate money here in Sweden could use Swish or bank transfer to me, and I could send all money through paypal to the winner in the end, that way the least amount of money will go to waste as paypal has a fee.
Now when I think about it, every country that uses Euro can transfer money to me via Bank without a fee.

Could also do a different thing and give a small amount of money to the person who has the best time for each event.

What do you guys think? Donate maybe 4-5€ each, for those who want to.
And everyone who donated will be on a "Donation list" in the ending credits of World Cup 7 movie, with chronological order of who donated the most on top!

I knew you would write that ha ha, but I'm a goodhearted person and I would never do such a thing, we could choose a different person to gather money as well.
If I were to disappear with the money you could send Boomer to kill me, we know each other IRL, he knows where I live etc.

Also what Lousku said =DDD

I have a question/problem regarding teams. I just changed my team from SV to team SLAM on elmaonline.net, but on http://elmaonline.net/statistics/cups/10/myteam it still says that my team is SV.

IRC logs from the result pasting can now be viewed through the wcup site, for example http://wcup.site/events/01/logs. It is combined log from #across and #wc7 channels.

Was that game ever even a thing?
I remember it having an actual scene - some people jumped over to Elma from there, and IIRC some Elma guys that casually tried Xmoto were owning there. No idea if the scene is still alive though. Cool idea and if someone wants, feel free to promote it over there, but I guess people from outside the scene aren't the main target audience in this. Would be much more important to get active, semi-retired or even retired Elmers to play again :)
we can say that the scene is active, last wr achieved on 27th february, there are some good players imo, but i don't have an irc

Event #05 interviews posted @ http://wcup.site/blog. Zero's interviews will come lat.. I mean those are finally up! It's an audio interview recorded on trendy Discord! It's 25 minute set and it covers events 3-5, you can listen to it from start to finish but I have also added timestamps in the each event's post so you can skip to the direct spot. If anyone else is up for doing something similar just let me know, this first one is a bit of a test run and already learned some dos and don'ts from it xd

Could be fun but I don't think many kuskis want to make such interviews.

Now that the cup is past the halfway I have to give some critic! OMG! The levels so far have been quite long, I am missing some shorter simple levels like usual battles. The first event was like that but all the rest have been multiroute and/or just long. Not to mention about the pixel apples that almost every level has had, I would hope there were other ways to make levels challenging than placing an apple in a way that makes it very easily missable. The previous event was multistyle, gravity, pixel apples, a bounce that was borderline doable depending on your fps (or let's say the circumstances, like the angle of the polygon, made it sure that you can't just do it like a "normal" bounce), and as if that wasn't already enough, the level was also long. That's a bit too much, but overlooking these things I still kinda liked the level. And now what, even more ridiculous level! It's multistyle/multiroute, twice as long as the previous one (give or take as many seconds as you need depending on your skills), it doesn't have pixel apples but those are replaced with several tricks that require accurate moves or else you will miss it by a pixel or two and makes your whole ride useless. Horrible level streak going on! And I also heard rumors that chris____ lev was declined for no reason! Also interviews are coming randomly late, not to mention the interviewer was clearly drunk while doing the latest interview! The World Cup organization needs to get their shit together, or else it has a big SCANDAL written on CAPS all over it!

I agree with ville_j. All levels so far require both wheels to travel, which IMO is contrary to the spirit of the game. There are no underground passages, which, arguably, is one of the defining features of WCup levels.

The interviews are a joke. It's just one sentence after the other -- and a few exclamation marks in between.

In some levels there are tricks to perform, but then it's just 'tricks' for the sake of it, and obvious showoff. In the past, cup levels required one to show their real skills; now, in this one, there is just bragging and bad competition. Just read one of the interviews -- they are all the same anyway. The underlying tone is just the ZZ duo discrediting Kazan, and the latter using even more subtle ways to degrade his opponents.

The good spirit of past cups seems part of another era. I call for a cup restart and for everybody who had anything to do with it to just step back and to keep away from it -- players and designers alike, not to mention the organizers.
All bounces are equal, but some bounces are more equal than others.

i've just made head through poly; thought i'd share:

There hasn't been much to credit kazan for yet :( maybe could have writen interview a bit better in event 1, i think there EF style was quite amazing. I gave him credit in interview not yet published, which is mostly bitter rant by a nab but still credit is credit.

I sometimes forget to write about reactions to other man times because I just write something random that pops into mind. Or maybe there hasn't been much to react to and therefore I forget it.

There is no such thing as Wcup-levels. Designers try to make a good level. Some success, some don't. So far there have only been success, even Ramones "Skip This?" which looked like Nekit-porn at first is quite fun even for a nab like me.
The interviews are a joke. It's just one sentence after the other -- and a few exclamation marks in between.
It is often written responses are like that. And the sound interviews are just amazing!
In some levels there are tricks to perform, but then it's just 'tricks' for the sake of it, and obvious showoff. In the past, cup levels required one to show their real skills; now, in this one, there is just bragging and bad competition.

Hard to make levels for these strange criteria. Most designers today are well aware of where the trick is, so to speak. We are still only at number 8th and there have been great levels so far imo.
Just read one of the interviews -- they are all the same anyway. The underlying tone is just the ZZ duo discrediting Kazan, and the latter using even more subtle ways to degrade his opponents.
Underlying tone, lol. If this is true then it's good, i mean it's a competition. Look at all good athlets in the world - psych is part of the game. Although I havent read this tone. And that all interviews are the same? I see some variety but ofcourse there is repeats. After all this is a 2-d game. Maybe top 3 should describe their inner feelings and personal problems also?
The good spirit of past cups seems part of another era. I call for a cup restart and for everybody who had anything to do with it to just step back and to keep away from it -- players and designers alike, not to mention the organizers.
Nostalgic feelings is always stronger the older you get. You are to old (in your mind) for this ley.
