EOL strange nicks

Post by mena » 11 Oct 2017, 14:15

Hi mans,
It's not my problem, but maybe not good for EOL database:

I just found a lot of fake EOL users, from random countries, like:
http://elmaonline.net/players/nation/Mozambique

If you check the team, there is even more:
http://elmaonline.net/players/team/BayLagoon

There are already 600 users from Afghanistan (the default country), most of them never played:
http://elmaonline.net/players/nation/Afghanistan

What is this? Some web crawler bots filling out the forms they find on the web?

Shouldn't there be a captcha for registration?
And maybe delete the accounts that are older than 1 month and never played any battle.

Typical bot names, so most of them are bots i guess.
zwaktvglt [BayLagoon] is a funny one.
Many ppl from Afghanistan because that's the default country in the registration form

Yeps, there's plenty like that... I agree that accounts older than a month should be deleted, but I'd say only those that haven't actually played online, rather than no battles played - there may be some people who actually play but orka bulle.

Also, I think it'd be great to remove all the teams without any player. I mean, just go to elmaonline.net/players and expand any team letter on the right... Example:

Code: Select all
