i can't get it to work.. but it's because i have 2 routers.. doublerouterportforwarding is more complicated than single.
though.. I don't play much elma anyway... sure would be fun to try but it's not my top prior... far from teh

Well you can tell your dad that if you forward only these three ports it will make no difference in security unless Belma has some vulnerability. That's how the open ports are a security risk after all - you can only take advantage of an open port if there is a service behind it to attack to, meaning "exploiting a vulnerability". The whole another thing is that will you trust Belma. If the server it's running at is compromised there is of course a change that Belma will be compromised and that way all the clients could be compromised.
