Need modified Across.lgr

Post by Sick_Mambo »

In Belma the txt is black. So its quite hard to see what ppl write because of the dark backgrounds in Across.lgr.

What i need is a more readable font color.

Anyone up for the task?

text colour is defined in that .abc file
some anyone can check .abc format on hib's page and update those colour according to that. I'm quite lazy
not that hard to do it changable but i dont really have time
its simply one colour index and that colour can be different in different palette

I dont get this ;( ..
In normal Elma 1.0 and in 1.2 there are no .abc files, right? (I cant find any)
So hib added them as he made first online patch?!?
And why is for mambo the color green and for xiph and me too yellow?
That means in .abc file is observed a color for each lgr? and for some reason its green in mambos!?
No but that sounds absurd :?

So what is a .abc file and where can I find them?

An .abc file is kind of a font. There has always been .abc files in Elma. They're in the Elma.res. Mila added new ones for Belma.
<Fihlvein> another case of zworqy-is-always-right closed i guess
<yoosef> zworqy doesnt suck at anything

there are abc fonts in original elma - menu font and black and white editor font
hib tried to do some online patch, it didn't really work and it never got spread (I haven't seen it, i think cloud and onla have)
elma uses 256 colours palette that is different for every lgr, so same colour index means different colour, abc font already has defined colour index that can mean any colour
no it's not absurd at all

i guess there isnt any, anyway you only need those small.abc, medium.abs and large.abc (or how were they named) with that colour and convert it yourself
if i find some time, I can do the prog that allows you to change that colour to any

Mambo's text is green/black WHEN HE USES ACROSS.LGR. If you use across.lgr your belma text will also be that colour. I think mila explained this very well:

Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

Hmm, I guess the one moposite has must be the updated one then. My across.lgr was downloaded back in 2000, and there the text is the same colour as Mambo's.
