Hey, can somebody tell me in detail how I start playing online? I upgraded to v1.2 but I don't know what to do next. I also registered on elma online site and some guy here said that he activated me.

download eol, not elma 1.2, then put your res from elma 1.2 in the eol folder.

Do you have a lev, rec and lgr folder, the lgr folder with default.lgr in it?

Edit: I realized now though that I could simply make a clean eol folder and upload that

Run the eol conf and enter your nickname and password. If you want to keep your old times in the einternal levels you have to copy your state.dat from your old elma into this folder.

Copied lgr from the elasto mania folder to EOL folder. Still, gives the same error!

I need to run eol file to launch the game right?

Gives me this error now: "SetDisplayMode (setresdd) did not succeed!"

Feel free to scan it if you don't believe me, but I would never do such a thing. I've been a member of this forum for several years and would never use it to spread a virus or whatever. I wouldn't want the people here to look at me that way, and I wouldn't want to destroy someone else's computer.

About your error: make sure the resolution in the eol conf matches the resolution of your monitor.

you need to enter your nickname and password in the top-left boxes. That should be enough.

startballe is if you want to start your level as a battle. you dont have to run that program to play eol.

This help was made November 13th 2010, might change over time.

extract EOL
copy/create folders: "lev" - "rec" - "lgr" into EOL folder
copy "elma.res" and "state.dat" into this folder
open resedit
click on import pack
press "ok" and say "yes"
if you don't have any lgr into this folder, get at least "default" here:

open eol.exe and if you cannot see anybody, check "TCP only" in eolconf.exe

When I run eol it just launches the game offline. I tried launching while having that thing checked on and still same thing.

however I see some message on the top of screen, tcp or something

nothing happens. it doesn't start online, it just starts the game.

look at the top left corner when you are in teh game and press f12. does it say anything?

Ah, the clean eol folder wasn't updated since the latest ip change. just open your eol conf, and change the ip in the box to: 173.236.167.53

i promise you this is the last error.

Devin's back and he asked me to explain how to play eol. I gave him my "basics" EOL folder, but he says elma.res is missing. He changed resolution and wrote his nick in eolconf. Why did it work for me and now it doesn't for him?

or maybe he was too drunk too... and we misundertood each other, i'll ask him again later
