how to play online?

Post by lompe »

Okay, this may make me look a bit dumb, but how can get my Eol to online? I've registered to elmaonline.com and all. Do i have to ask for the playing rights somewhere? :? HELP!

You have your playing rights now, and should be able to play online. If it doesn't work at first, make sure you have the correct IP in the eolconfig. It should be:

IP 173.236.167.53, TCP 4460, UDP 4461.

To get the hang of how EOL works, you can always check the wiki, or post any questions here on the forum or on irc. However, it's even better and easier to ask in the in-game chat. Just press F9 to talk; The other players will be happy to answer any questions. Just stay clear of the trolls.

Registration doesnt need rights anymore =)

Code: Select all

Open registration

It was originally my plan to release the open registration along with some other stuff but due to recent developments in the scene and things like the new requirement to drive all WRs in EOL, registrations have now been made completely open, which means no need for a mod to give you playing rights after you register.

I still think a mod's approval is necessary.

Rights given!

I think he had registered before the transition to the fully open registration took place, so he had a user but not the playing rights.

Yes, I can stay connected now. Thank! Now I have to find a way to get rid off all that red text thats everywhere, and get the esc key to work so I don't actually need to die to start over.
