Well, they totally suck and I hate them. I'm going to post each one of the current ones and tell you what I think of em.

- one of the more "better" ones though still just too regular

- regular

- ok we saw you're sad

- stupid/annoying

- ridiculous...

- same as three above, just too regular and useless

- just ridiculous. eye drops anyone?

- the animation looks just.. stupid

- useless and stupid

- good smiley in general, but too badly drawn here

- gay?

- another sad face.. why every other one has to be sadface?

- crap. people dont need to be in this hatred level

- another crap.. but actually ive got used to this and kinda like it

- this one is just okay

- well, it does its job

- another sad face, enough already ffs

- as smiley, this ones okay, but why does it have to be green?

- well, i think im personally responsible of this smiley.. its okay

- well look at this one, oh my god, has to be most fucked up smiley ive ever seen..

- how about this one? these little fellas has some kind of disease huh?

- what the hell is he doing, brushing teeths?

All in all, the problem we have is that there just isn't enough suitable emoticons to describe our feelings at all. I'm afraid you might not belive it but having good and suitable smileys to describe the feeling behind our posts is actually quite a big factor affecting our willing to take part of many discussions.

What do you think about the smiley-collection we have here at lauta?

you may notice what i think of the smiley collection by looking at my 2000 odd posts and find that i have prolly used smiley, (other than in testing topic) maybe 10 times, i think they are load of shit, on other game forums they have appropriate emoticons for the game type, yes i know that can be somewhat difficult for us elma people, but if i knew how i would certainly make some, best smiley is

and the worse ones are

and well the rest are basically only a little better.

we should have a smiley making competition which i will be happy to run after the sexiest kuski competition ok,

And then the little reviews:

- don't like this too much, it's ok but not great

- really stupid, the mouth shouldn't even be open ...doesn't look like normal : ) at all

Well mostly, I think this board's emoticons do their jobs. You get what people are trying to express, and I don't see the point in having much 'fancier' emoticons just to do the same job. But ye, some that are completely different could be ok I guess...just as long as there's any point in them (i.e. Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker 'lazer-sabring' is pretty useless..).

Well, they are decent if you haven't experienced a board with better ones. As I'm a user of another pretty huge board and seen how it is like there, it's such a pity we have to live with the current ones, while we could have so much better.

But as it's pretty much impossible to get any changes to this since Abula is away, I won't get any deeper into this.
