Questions to kuski of month winners

Post by Abula »

TorInge, Cloud, mrickx, Abula and GuyB are in the list to make interviews for next (when I got my ass up to send them to them).

As dz suggested there could be a thread where people can make new questions to those people. I've made a few myself so let's start. And ye, Tor, Cloud, mrickx and GuyB, don't asnwer here to these but in the interview, ok.

- The strengths and the weakness of your playing skills (in Finnish: vahvuudet ja heikkoudet). Someone says this in better English, please.

- The first memories of joining to #across, maybe some other things related to that chat room.

-= Do you have a life when playing elma? =-
-= Your real life. Do you have it (school/work, other interests etc)? =-

these 2 quesz are too much alike, AND the first one is completely
insane.. would be alot better like "do you have other life besides playing elma"

I've been thinking a bit. Isn't there any way to get already-chosen kuski to be reinterviewed? Or at least to update their answers and add new questions? I don't want to edit old interviews but but. There must be some good solution which I haven't figured out yet. Maybe just add ==== line and after it we can add more questions and they answers to them and also can edit some earlier questions by pointing to them. And then write the edit date. Like on Mopolauta. But there you couldn't remove any old data. Hm.

So now there is this new rule that a kuski can be rechosen as a kuski of month after three years. This thing gives possibility to have new questions like

- "you have already one kom once before, how do you feel elma/scene/yourself has changed has changed since that time?"

Get more.

To Karlis:

You have played the game longer than anyone else - at least if we talk about people in professional level. How does that feel?

We all know you have a girlfriend but you are still playing quite seriously, how that is possible at all?

You have always played the game seriously, no cruising, no relaxing, always for WRs. I don't know if this is normal among the internal hoylas but to me it's very strange... any comments?

Jokke & Karlis are one the most famous couple in the Elma/Across history. Now when Jokke has almost retired do you think it's your turn aswell? Well nowadays the mr & Karlis couple is pretty famous too :]. If you quitted would it be done like Jokke did, just decreasing the playing but still following the news etc or would it be a hard stop? I think you have tried that once or (twice). Is that dramatic way even possible?

Could you tell us how much Elma means to you. Is it just waste of time which should be removed or is it the deepest passion and meaning of your life?

You don't play that much anymore as you happened to do in your sickest period but you still get WRs pretty easily, what's the story behind this? I saw you saying that getting a new WR doesn't give the joy anymore as it gave earlier. Maybe you should change your goals? What they would be? Total time top5? WR in more levels than anyone else?

To all:

How high would you rate yourself as an Elma player? Top100? Top10? Honestly.

Hmm... top50 :shelfish smiley:

Seriously, these days it's very difficult to know really well how good someone is. Internals doesn't give a good idea at all. One of the best ways to measure it is cups and battles I think... something where the time is an issue.

To Karlis: You appear to be able to make WRs in any level you choose. You say stuff like "anybody can do a WR with enough hoyling". In other words, you are capable of pretty much choosing what time you want on a level, and making it after some play. Why, therefore, do you not hoyl all levels to top-10 or top-5 (which would surely be less demanding than your current schedule of hoyling-to-WR) and reach 37 mins tt?

why do you play elma as much as you do, and specifically, do you feel it is something psychologically wrong with you, brought about by unpleasant experiences in your infant years?

Well, it certainly is an intriguing and fun idea, but I don't know how realistic it is ;S
Me being slow in giving people just the txt interview, I dare almost not think how slow I might be arranging these things.. :P

But it could be very interesting indeed.

some elma-scene related questions:

Do you think Belma had a major influence on your skill and/or activity?
Do you think the elma scene will eventually fade away with more and more people quitting, or do you think the constant updates, such as belma and eol, will continue to keep it alive?
If you could change one thing about the scene, what would it be?
what do you think about the scene today?
