So are your levels low or not then?

I do not know how the healthcare system in your country works, but in mine i have had success basically by doing my own research and stating the facts to doctors and being pushy about what i want. Anytime i see a doctor i have done all the research before i even go. If you are doing your research from double blind verified studies, know that the doctor is doing the same thing, they are not some beacon of truth above everyone else, doctors can be idiots like anybody else can be, or they can have an incentive to not do the right thing, they may be bored with their job and lack empathy now. I had a doctor who was not giving me what i needed, because he was too lazy to turn our phone conversations into a video call for example, because what i needed required him to make it a video. Of course not all doctors are bad, and if they have logical reasons i hear them out, since they may know something i don't. I try to gauge the doctor as well or whoever is denying you, is this person smart? Do they have accolades? Something like a surgery for example i would gauge the doctor, i know fuck all about surgery and wouldnt trust my own research.

Be angry, state the facts and ask whoever "what are my levels? I read those levels are low.... Also my symptoms are x, x, and x - same as a low testosterone man would have. Why can you not put me on trt treatment? and if you will not, refer me to somebody that will", or ask to be tested again. Bottom line, if your arguments are rational and make sense and you are right, then you shouldnt give up because of one denial.

Healthcare system is not the same here gimp. And yes my values are low but I didn't even get to state my case, endocrinologist just looked at them and made note in electronic archive. I could get it if I go to different doctor but that would have to be private one which costs money and I would also need to find someone who knows about this stuff. It seems to heavily rely on doctor, I know some have tried TRT with total test around 15 even if patient has symptoms and is young. I'm going to think about what to do next, one possibility is getting steroids the old fashioned way and self-treating it.

Is it possible to get tested for free somewhere else that would result in a different endocrinologist evaluating your results?

I need to make it clear that I don't advocate for DIY HRT.

You can get testosterone supplements without a prescription... just saying.

You know what is best for your body.

Are there any with proven efficacy? I don't know of any

I'm getting rid of mine, not gaining more. I have no idea about testosterone medication, really. I know stuff exists, and I won't be looking any further.

That's not a bad idea from milagros.

It's not a no, I genuinely have no idea. I've not looked into T supplements at all, and it would be a horrible experience for me to do that.

supplements below which have shown results of an increase in testosterone, i only listed ones which showed any kind of effect. some of them only had one study done, so consistency of result was 0. this was copy pasted, but format goes as:

supplement name
magnitude of effect - can be no effect, minor, notable, or strong
consistency of results - can be moderate, high, or very high
number of studies done
description

this document was bought by someone else and given to me. it lists all kinds of supplements and health outcomes and the links to the studies. if you want it PM me and I will send to you. obviously these things probably have some side effects so yeah...

Dehydroepiandrosterone
Notable
High
See all 18
studies
There appears to be an increase in testosterone following
DHEA supplementation, but the vast majority of literature is in
menopausal women (where testosterone contributes to
libido). There is variability in the results, and DHEA is
unreliable in increasing testosterone, but this unreliability
extends to all demographics and subjects (with limited
evidence of DHEA increasing testosterone in all studies
including youthful athletes, which are less studied).

Caffeine
Minor
High
See all 4
studies
A very small (usually 12%) increase is noted in trained
athletes consuming caffeine above 250mg prior to exercise,
this may be dependent on exercise as studies without
exercise fail to find alterations in testosterone. This increase in
unlikely to lead to significant testosterone-like effects

Creatine
Minor
High
See all 6
studies
Degree of testosterone spike is not overly notable, although it
appears to be present

Zinc
Minor
High
See all 5
studies
Both chronic/excessive exercise as well as a zinc deficiency
are associated with abnormally low testosterone
concentrations, and in these states supplementation of zinc
increases testosterone. There is no inherent increase in
testosterone with zinc if either of those two conditions are not
met

Ashwagandha
Minor
Very
High
See all 4
studies
Testosterone may be increased in infertile men (who have a
reduction in testosterone) and men undergoing strength
training, but there is currently no evidence to suggest an
inherent testosterone boosting effect in otherwise normal
men.

Coenzyme Q10
Minor
-
See study
Not the largest increase, and was in infertile men; may not
apply to fertile men.

Coleus forskohlii
Minor
-
See study
Increase of testosterone observed in men not overly potent
and is highly variable.

Mucuna pruriens
Minor
Very
High
See 2
studies
An increase in testosterone is seen in infertile men. It is
unsure if this increase in testosterone occurs in fertile and
otherwise healthy men

Panax ginseng
Minor
Moderate
See 2
studies
May increase testosterone in infertile men, has also failed in
fertile men to influence testosterone; likely a mere
antioxidative effect in damaged testicles

Royal Jelly
Minor
-
See study
A small increase in testosterone has been noted with 3g Royal
Jelly for 6 months in older men and women, no studies in
youth currently and practical significance of such a small
increase unknown

Shilajit
Minor
-
See study
A 23.5% increase has been noted in infertile men, it is not
certain if this applies to fertile men.

Vitamin D
Minor
-
See study
An increase in testosterone has been noted in men with 3,332
IU of Vitamin D over the course of a year

Boron
Minor
Moderate
See 2
studies
There appears to be an interaction with Boron and
testosterone in both genders, but it is seemingly unreliable

Ginger
Minor
-
See study
An increase in testosterone has been noted to reach 17.7% in
infertile men given an undisclosed amount of ginger over
three months.

Most of those seem to be minor and the studies were done on infertile men with no mention how it affects men in general. I know there are few foods that increase testosterone but again they don't raise it significantly.

in your position i would do what mila suggested
been noticing some lowered test symptoms over the past year so might be going that route myself within a few years, maybe sooner
sure there are downsides but the quality of life increase seems absolutely worth it if you do it responsibly and with proper supplementation and also move some heavy things on a regular basis
best of luck and meet you on the other side
