Computer problems, i need help!

Post by DCEM »

My comp is fucked.
This is what happened :
the comp started to switch it self off now and then.
next day, it didnt get much longer in the startup that to the "MODE CODE PAGE PREPARED" or whatever it says.
Then i picked my comp apart, and put it toghether again, cus i've experienced that this might help sometimes.
After that, my comp didnt start.nothing happened when i pressed powerbutton.
So i changed powersupply, and now the comp starts BUT, my monitor doesnt seem to react to anything.
It just lets the little LED blink like the comp isn't on. And i know for sure that it's not my monitor, nor my graphics card (cus i've tried different)
SO, that's about all I have to tell, can anyone help me finding the problem?
And plz, dont write silly stuff like "doh, just buy a new comp" cus that's not helping! (unless you send me money;))
Thnx
It's not the right time to be sober, 'cause now the idiots are taking over. EM rox.

hmm...
its hard to say why that happened
many things can cause such type of problem
the only way for you now is to get some 100% working computer (from friend or dunno) and try to change hardware from it to yours, like CPU, RAM etc.
BUT first you should try to fix by yourself :)
1. check all connectors
2. try clear CMOS
3. check if PC speaker is ON and when ur computer turned on, speaker must beep something if there is some problem
4. tell ur whole comp hardware here
5. dont do anything in a hurry or if u dont know what u do exactly
6. if possible just give ur comp to some service center
7. if nothing helps, send me ur comp, i`ll fix it :)
