America's Cup

Post by Ky.Jelly »

This is a major event here in New Zealand, i was just wondering if any of you have ever heard of it or more than that if you get any major media coverage.

For those of you with no clue, it a yachting competition that dates back over 100years, this is only the third time that it has been reaced out of america and that is caus we won it in 1995.

this year it has com down to us(the defender) and Alinghi, Alinghi is a swiss sindicate that won the louis vitton cup against other challengers to earn the right to challenge Team New Zealand for the cup, Alinghi has a mostly NZ crew that includes the skipper and tactition and rest of the aftergaurd that was on Team New Zealand in its victory in 1995 and it defense in 1999

I've heard about it, but I have no idea what it's all about
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

Cross country is very fun to watch... I guess it depends on if you have anyone with chances of winning/getting medals or not.

are we talking about crosscountry skiing or running?
coz both are like watching grass grow. except for the bits when everyone falls over

actually, i run cross country races. quite fun and painful (my stupid age group only runs 3km so it's like *run fast oh damn my legs hurt oh well only 2km to go oh shit i am dead at the end*)
well i enjoy it anyway
