What's so good about carbonated beverages??

What's so good about carbonated beverages??

Post by zworqy »

What's the point of cabonating beverages?? I have never understood this.

Look at all the disadvantages:
  1. Burns in throat
  2. Makes you burp
  3. Must take small sips because of 1
  4. Doesn't feel refreshing you down beacuse of 1
  5. Destroys the taste
I drink carbonated beverages if I must, but I avoid it I can.

It's not often I drink it. Only on vacations, sometimes when I eat and sometimes in the summer. As said, it kind of burns in the throat, so I don't like it that much.
But I can't think of any point with carbonate.

Destroys the taste? A coke where the CO2 has gone out is certainly not good.

I don't know why it is in them, can it be something about preservation? Or maybe to make it more sour.
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?

Well, with all that CO2 sparkling in your mouth you never get the chance to taste it...

And coke with no CO2 doesn't taste so bad, but if it does, it's because it's old...

after a long hot sauna there aren't many things feeling better than taking a glass of ice cold fanta light and drink it down straight. the coldness, the burn in the throat, the sweet taste. it's just great.

1 is not a problem. i like the feeling
2 is not a problem either, so burp.
3 false. sure it burns more with bigger sips but it's ok
4 the 1 adds to the refreshningnestiness if the drink is cold enuf
5 nope it does not.

Carbonated beverages are great! They dont burn my throat (luckily, 'cos I'm 'addicted' to Coke...lol!) They are really refreshing, especially when you're really thirsty...
Ah well, sorry to have to disagree with you Zworqy...

Antz, wouldn't regular Fanta be better? :)

Oh, and I forgot about the refreshingness. That's the reason it's in the drinks, and that's the reason why drinks where the CO2 has gone out aren't any good.

Coca-Cola ice-creams (popsicles), who contains no CO2, tastes a lot better than "real" coke.

There is no CO2 in carbonated beverages is there? CO2 is Carbon Dioxide...surely that would poison you...? Corbonated means there is Carbon in it...hmm...im not too sure...

there's carbon acid h2co3 in carbonated drinks. if i remember correctly the bubbles that come from the drink are co2 what comes when the acid breaks to h2o and co2 due to loss of pressure. and carbon dioxide is hardly poisonous.

Carbonated beverages don't burn your throat, they tickle it.
You should try drinking something that really burns your throat. Like strong rum (80 %), or a nice whisky (Glenfiddich is very good).

the fact that people don't like water is irrelevant to the fact that they need it to survive
i like water now, but i used to hate drinking it. but even if i didn't like it i still drank it. i would drink something i don't like rather than die, wouldn't you?

i think you can not like it because you are spoiled with sweet drinks. you get sugar and water when you drink sweet drinks, so when you get water you're not satisfied because you don't get what you want (no sugars). so since you're not satisfied you're unhappie and don't like it at all. it sucks and water sucks, you don't like it!

lopl you don't have to much knowledge about carbonated beverages do you :P
if you buy 1½ liter and only drink half of it every day. that makes it 3 days old when you empty it. And every day less tastier :P
I'd rather buy a carton (or 24-30 pieces box ½ liters or 33cl cans) instead of teh you said.

carbonated beverages or Soda's as I call it are nice drinks specially to some nice dinner. Like Duck or maybe pizza :p.. and in the cinema with popcorn =)

Though, imo it's not a good thirst quencher.

Water ez best for teh.

And milk is nice if eating anything that's chocolate =D

Its true, once you open it theres a countdown to that point of flatness...nat goad. For cheapness I usually buy a 2x2L coke offer, something like £2.60. Trying to not drink so much, used to have near 2L a day, now more like a pint (568ml).

The big 330ml can deals are good too, but usually work out more expensive than bigger bottles. If it works out cheap enough, theyre my choice. Colder too, I guess the aluminium can chills it better than a plastic bottle 8)

Milk proteins (if too much, and it quickly becomes too much) drains calcium from your bones. You can get plenty of calcium through vegetables. The fat in milk is equally bad, just like cheese etc. You can do better without it.

I'm milkfree for years now, and I used to drink gallons of it. Now all left is less sugar. Hard. :|

Milk is good for when you're growing, there's more calcium in broccoli than in milk, and milk contains such many saturated fats. Those proteins in milk are not really much and proteins from plants are much better anyway.

Beverages are also max unhealthy, ofcourse. Beer too.

i love pizza and other junk food, not like eat it all the time but from time to time can't resist
Mc Donald's chips for exapmle
or pizza from polish DaGrasso chain
or my mother's toasts xD just gotta eat them once a week or otherwise life would have no sense

i also drink water like 95% of teh time but sometimes i just feel like buying some Pepsi, 7up or other shit

yous aid healthy food tastes good, but i guess it's a matter of taste, i don't like the healthy (dry) bread, vegetables etc... like some fruits, vegetable soups, chicken and fich meat and few other things. some say that onions, raw cucamber and garlic are healthy, but FUCK! it is a catastrophy for me when i have to eat it, feel it like a week afterwards in teh mouth and throat and bu stomach aches for a few days, kinda can't eat the shit, it fucking smells and tastes so bad even animals refuse to get close to it xD onley humans are stupid enough xD

but still eating little makes no sense, i'm on a diet now though and got to ;_: cuz got some issues with digestive system, typical for my family unfortunately. won't cry when i'll lose this overweight that i've had for the most of my life
