Nostalgy

Post by dz »

Do you love nostalgic stuff? Not long ago I didn't care about old, loong time ago happened things hardly at all, but during like last two years I've started think and generally, care about nostalgic stuff alot. One of the coolest things to have notalgic feelings with for me, is to play old nintendo games I used to play when I was very young, like 10 years ago or so.

Today I've listened whole evening old NES soundtracks, which brings up so many memories not only though mainly of the actual games, but also the life around the time we played those games.
Nostalgy is the reason I'm playing nowadays so much emulator games, mostly nes & snes, because those were the consoles I had when I was young. I don't know why it feels so great, but I don't complain, its megafun. I've still dozens of games I want to see, listen and feel at least once again.. those good old days!

Think about it if our clever human nature some day invents some sort of an time machine, or some thing that you can go for example back in time in your mind whereever you want.. though then it would not be the same, there would not even be such thing as nostalgy, as strong as the word is today.

I am 16 years old now and I have an Amiga I used to play on when I was like 6-7...The best game is Rockfall (imo)but I also remember Starglider, Predator, Eliminator, Pacmania etc...
We also had some prog called Music Maker in which I did music 10 years ago, a few months ago I listened to the "songs" and I laughed like hell...:D

Other nostalgic things I have is my old schoolbooks, we have saved every book since first day of school...

Btw I have Death Rally too..;)

I'm pretty nostalgic, or mayb im just trapped in the 80's :)
I play C64, Spectrum, NES/SNES, Amiga, old PC and arcade games.
I have much more .mods than .mp3s (most of my mp3s are music of the 80's btw)
Generally I think that the least core frequency, the more fun.

I never had a console until Nintendo 64

No nostalgy for me..
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

damn nintendo world cup rocked with 2 player, we played it alot with my brother. Every player with specific looking face had good and bad skills, and it was fun to place different skilled guys in different positions depending on opponent, since u could learn how every team played, what was their super kick etc. The same charecter look is btw in some other games as well, like rivercity ransom, if ya ever played it..

Thats funny how video games can bring back feelings of our surroundings from our past, just recently i played FF7 over for the first time in like 4-5 years and alot of times i can remember songs that i had on repeat on the cd player when i played for a long time or certain things that were going on while i was on a certain part of the game

im almost sure that after i move on from elma, i will get the same feelings.

Flawless victory!

Nostalgy for me is games like Warcraft, Doom, C&C, etc. I've never been much in to consoles.
