Elma Chess Tournament 2023

Hello everybody!

Chess tournament 2023 is coming! Everybody will be very welcome no matter of level.

Rules: Game type: 10 min / + 5 sec per move. 1 match a week. Match consists 2 games, one on white and one on black. 6 rounds. Tournament mode (not necessary to know): Swiss system https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swiss-system_tournament in case of tie median-buchholz system. Players decide when they play by themselves (discord or pm here). After the match, report the result to discord or to this thread. Any kind of cheating / outsider help during a match is obviously strictly forbidden. If a player is not willing to play or organise time for that, it is counted as a loss. In case of no consensus about the game time, it is Sunday GMT 19.

Platform: Lichess (www.lichess.org) Select play against friend and send a link. Check time settings and play. After the first game, play rematch and colours will be swapped automatically. No accounts needed. (Other platforms fine as well but lichess prolly the easiest.)

I will organise the chart and next matches following the swiss system protocol. You just check your opponent, contact and plan time for that, play 2 games, post result.
