Which movie series is most unrealistic? LOTR or Matrix?

There is a fight going on in #across about wich of LOTR or Matrix is the most unrealistic. Let's settle it here once and for all!!!

nah the lotr is much more likely to happen than some computer generated world we live in, specially if tehy let us make a movie about it

They are both as unrealistic, very unrealistic. For example, saying that the LOTR is more realistic than the Matrix is like saying 1 + 1 = 3 is more realistic than 2 + 2 = 5, IMHO.

cant say anything cause they are totally different movies.. one plays in a complete fictious world and the other tells that our world we live in is a computer program or something...

I dotn get it: Matrix is 100% realistic. If you dotn get it you simply are stupid and I wont reply to try and explain.

LoTR is played in a fantasy world, since it doesnÂ´t try to occour in our world, how can it be unrealistic. Well, it takes place on earth, yes, but not the way it is today.

Like some ppl dotn like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. They say, you cant jump like that. YOU ARE STUPID, the film does not occour in the world as we know it. So, that is nothign you can complain about. However many other actionmovies who is taken place in modern america with similar stunts could be blamed in this way. I hope you understood me. Otherwise I wont explain again.

I kind of agree, it is not supposed portrait OUR real world. I always think of it as kind of symbolic language/out of this world.
Anyway I voted for the matrix, because the CG looks crappier than LOTR. ^^

I think the point with this poll is not what is most unrealistic in the sense you are talking about but what is most unrealistic to happen in our world. Scientificly i don't think anything like lotr is likely to happenen because many of the animals in that world is only useful in slavery like the dakr side uses some of the animals. But The matrix can be real some day some scientists actuly belives that we live in a matrix, what i don't think is that machines will get inteligent and rule the world.

Juski, I think you are mistaken. Some animals are only used in slavery of the dark side? Then what is Cows, Pigs etc, free of will to be slaves of the Good Side?

We are the dark side, we are evil. They are our slaves, they are bread for one purpose, feed us. WhatÂ´s so unrealistic with it in LotR when it is a part of every day life here in OUR world?

but i still think matrix is more realistic, there is even scientists that say we live in a matriw today, but i don't go that far.

lord of the rings is so much more believable, i have seen there houses and the landscape with my own eyes, i just think most sceintific evidence got lost during some ice age, thank you to jrr tolkein for keeping bilbo and frodo's book outta danger for so long

LOTR is unrealistic because it got magic stuff and such, and no serious person would be live in that crap.

The Matrix is totally realistic because, they is in a computer made world and what limitations do computer techology have? And if you say the story is unrealistic, just look at LOTR!

Im no Matrix fan and dont even think Ive seen any of the movies even once but its about the visible world and true world right? Its all philosophic but imo it seems more realistic than LOTR
