I'm 100 % NOT GAY....not that i disrespect gays but, when i see them at their stupid gay parade, makes me want to kill them all. If they want to be part of the society, they should do like everyone. Straights don't have a parade so, why would they ?

I completely agree with gayparades. It's funny ok. They have fun. And about the acceptance of gays, read this:
From a "Buddhist point of view," lesbian and gay sex "is generally considered sexual misconduct," the Dalai Lama told reporters at a press conference a day earlier.

However, such proscriptions are for members of the Buddhist faith - and from "society's viewpoint," homosexual sexual relations can be "of mutual benefit, enjoyable, and harmless," according to the Dalai Lama.
My opinion about gayness:

"Gayness is a mistake of nature, sure it wasn't meaned to exist, because it doesn't benefit the nature. But a mistake from nature isn't a mistake from the man/woman his/herself. He/She does what nature told him/her. So in fact, he/she shouldn't be disciriminated for his/her gayness. Also, for him/her it is more natural than going for same sex, than other. You won't ask a cow to lay some egg, would you?"

Sometimes I think it would be easier if I was gay, but quick enough realise that it probably wouldn't.

And it's not like I could change my sexuality with my own will either.

Better just be what you are, and let other people be what they are too.

Hm, in that way in could be even some mechanism made by nature, or evolved in. (Referring to Svein's post.)

I think I am like actually 2% gay. Heh, maybe I will even discover that I am gay later on. But until now 'straight' was my way.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8...

God is Good, God is Straight.

1, 2, 3, 4...

Inversy will be no more.

Such a nice movie I've seen about how gayness is handled in america. Ridiculous shown, but with a bit sense of truth.

gayness is normal in nature. all kinds of animals have sex. however, old rumours say only humans have it. this is because tv shows want to show a nicer reality in animal world than the real world.. just like they show everything else totally fake.

then it's not really correct to say gayness doesn't benefit nature. some insects for example rape other males so that when those male mate they will impregnate the female with the rapists sperm.

They are just "gay", happy and all. Close friends I know are gay, and such funny. Mostly they are happy and they won't hurt you whatever, never insult you. Isn't that good? Maybe it is the sphere here in amsterdam, which I heard of has much gays living here. I know that you have those fetish-SM-gays, but that is just as hetero-SM, fucking sick.

Nor Civilization or Elma "benefit nature".
Actually "benefit nature" is a very abstract idea. What is nature's goal? etc.

Well, nature's is something very abstract, but also very natural. ( :P )
But what I mean is that if something goes wrong or something with some species, like they grow much too big, they often get eaten by some stupid new evolved parasite specie. In nature most things are balanced well. There's some piece were a specie went extremely well, without there being some other real concurrent specie. Yes, human it is. Maybe growing amount of gayness will let our population shrink.

What all this about insects? (Non human) animals can be gay. There was a programme about it a while back, I think the gayest non-human animal was a monkey or something...maybe Im just thinking of the Mandrill

In fact there is a theory that nature made gayness to appear. "Gays" would be the group members that had to look for the good of the tribe (I believe you can call those members watchmen). As they had this job they didn't have any females of their own, so they developed this behaviour amongst themselves. (This may not be true, it's just a theory, it is more or less like this)

There's an awfully lot of we/them mentality in here!
Listen: Homosexuality is just a sexuality. Nothing else. "They" are not different in any other way than that "they" are (erotically) attracted to people of their own gender.
Not a much bigger deal than e.g. different musical tastes if you ask me.
Why "they" are loathed is probably because of the big prejudicial-injectors of mankind (indirectly): The large monotheistic religious constitutions. (note: I'm not bashing the religions, more of their bigot leaders, and the traditional morals that originated out of the teachings)

Btw: OFF TOPIC
"And the will therein lieth, which dieth not. Who knoweth the mysteries of the will, with its vigor? For God is but a great will pervading all things by nature of its intentness. Man doth not yield himself to the angels, nor unto death utterly, save only through the weakness of his feeble will." -Joseph Glanvill

Yes, religions always have something 'against' "them".
All, but one: Buddhism. :)
It's so funny I exspected all things like HUUU GAYS R H0m0 & STUPID.
Well they're actually homo, but not stupid. These people are certainly smarter here, than some other people I know irl.

I see you get my point, but my a mistake, I mean that this isn't something that would just evolve, because gayness doesn't make you get offspring without external help does it? So in that way, it must be something that isn't originally written in our genes, hence a "mistake", I would say. You could say it's 'wrong' cell behaviour or 'wrong' cell copying, which makes it possible to generate much more hormones from the other sex, thus becoming more attracted to same sex. That is, if homosexuality is depending on hormones, which I don't really know.
