new topic from ky all about teen drama if you catch my drift

Post by Ky.Jelly »

ok please note that i may have drunk a little bit but here goes

be honest now, how here has ever watched an american teen drama series, im talking about all of them, from dawsons creek to roswell, to all the others, im having kinda a brain problem trying to think of more, i would like to know your opinion of them, do you watch them, why do you watch them, why dont you watch them, which ones you do watch and which characters you can relate to, which episodes and what topics you like that they touch on, i myself have just downloaded the entire first series of "the oc" and have watched the first five episodes, i find it mildly entertaining but addictive none the less, they always seem to have characters and story lines, no matter how lame that seem to leave you craving to see more. so let us know what you think

I used to watch every episode of Dawson's Creek, which actually was a very good series, but unfortunately it degraded a bit in the final seasons. I don't think I even watched one episode of the very final season of it, except the finale episode. The main reason for this though, was that it crashed with another series (Boston Public, which was just awesome) and we didn't have a VCR recorder.

I also used to watch Beverly Hills 90210 and still can just relax with some of the reruns. Especially the older seasons, the newer weren't that good.
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

Well, none of those are teen drama series though, as this thread is about ;)

Btw Seinfeld is the best TV series ever.

i have seen a lot of them. many dawson's creek episode, which made me cry. that was when they first were showing, and i can't remember really why. i also watched gilmore girls a bit, because it was such a strange series. but after i started watching it regularly i got bored with it. then recently i saw a roswell episode. it usually is too boring to get into, but this one was special. it was an very attractive gurl and she was in love with the main character boy. they were passionately kissing and it made them see their own past. it was a very good episode.

but lately i even enjoyed watching baywatch, because the ppl there are genuinely good. i think there is just one but here, no but one reason to do anything. it makes me learn something.

I wouldn't really say so.. Buffy is more like comedy-action-drama-(musical ;))

It's good though :D

the oc stands for Orange County which is a area in america that is quite wealthy, im up to episode 20 in the first series now and its kinda gone up and down in terms of quality, the one thing i really do like about it is that time seems to move by quite fast and leaves you guessing as to what happened in between

oh ye i used to watch that beverly hills one...sach nostalgia but i also saw it recently and the earlier episodes were quite good. wasn't really so "deep" as the newer ones like especially dawson's crack but anyway they were good guys.. until it turned into a mad soap.

I wouldn't say it's a teen drama because of it. The series is mostly revolving around the life of the teachers.

Re: new topic from ky all about teen drama if you catch my drift

Post by ribot »

I actually got a trial account for amazon prime and continued dawsons crack. To be honest it was quite horror. But as I said before, it really touched me when I was younger.

And I also did follow the OC for a while. Mostly because the main gurl reminded me of this other gurl that I just couldn't get my mind off of. Now recently I saw this gurl on some mtv docu soapmentary (The Hills: New Beginnings). In her I am disappoint. However the show was just like any Hollywood drama, as if life there is like on tv.

Anyway I still like teen dramas I guess. Good dramas are interesting and then it's interesting to see what will happen to the pretty gurls. I like drama in general I suppose, usually more than action. Zomg it means I must be a metrosexual, see this topic: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2724
