What on earth are you on about? Oil Prices are rediculasly high. The demand is, at the moment outstretching the supply forcing prices very high. $60 a barrel is about the going rate, this is very high indeed. Infact a couple of years back it was around the $45 mark and anazlyst were worried that it could climb to 50-60 dollars as it has done. Yesterdays attacks in London Forced the price down a little bit, but when it becomes apprent that there are no long term economic effects prices will again climb...This may have already happened I'm not sure.
The price for oil is actually so high at the moment that the British government recently annouced that a 1.3p tax incread on a Litre of Fuel that was supposed to be brought in in September will not be brought in until the market is more stable.
And this tax scheduled tax increase by the government was not a way of making more money, it was simply a normal rise to match inflation rates ...for the government to prospone that indefinatly they must be slightly convered. Although I suspect that concern is over fuel stikes like the ones of 2000(?).

Well, gas $2.19 where I am. But if you think about it. Gas is still the cheapest per gallon compared to milk and alcohol ect... I don't care how much it gets, I'm still not going to walk to work.

to people saying how much their gas costs: you are stupid. at least say what currency and measurement you are talking about, maybe even convert to euro seeing as that seems to be easiest for forums. kopaka only one who rulz.

Gas more expensive than milk here... 7 SEK for 1L milk, 11 SEK for 1L Gas.

7 SEK = 0,74 €
11 SEK = 1,17 €

Often 98 octane is not sold here, only 95 and diesel. Anyway 95 costs about 1,4 per litre now.
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

I've just seen some 'funny' statistics in the newspaper.

Local prices for unleaded/litre in euros.

Netherlands: 1,48
Norway: 1,35
Italy: 1,28
Denmark:1,27
Sweden: 1,25
Japan: 1,11
Russia: 0,50
China: 0,40
Saudi Arabia: 0,20
Kuwait: 0,185
Venezuela: 0,037

How frustrating. :P

In my city, we have to pay $1.26 a litre in Canadian.....that sux cuz it was $0.95 only 2 weeks ago

They blame it on that Lousiana/Mississippi incident in the states, and yet they get to pay like way less than us
