Snow Days

Post by Dynamo »

It doesn't happen often where I would get a snow day in my city but today is an exception 8)

I only get like maybe 3 of them in a year if I'm lucky tho...

normally here in finland its already snow on the ground, and has been colder than 0 C for a long time but not this year.. sach boring, it hasn't been snowing more than like once some 3 weeks ago, and its still about 5-10 C warm.. all the world cup skiing competitions have been cancelled in lapland and so on.. warmest autumn ever in finland or something, it sucks, cause i like skiing.. and this dark and rainy weather its kinda depressing, lets just hope that we get some snow soon..

Up here, it's usually snow (and I mean 0.5 - 1.x meter) during the whole December, January, February and March. Unfourtanely it will be less snow in December later on.. :(

And now they say that we'll not get snow (which will last for a while) before January

We will be lucky if the temperature goes under -5 celcius this year. Temperature's rising. I remember ten years ago it was a lot colder at this time of the year.

And snow? Muha.

hmm, i think this is just a liten bit warmer then usually.
not nearly the warmest autumn ever, last year snow that stayed
for long time came just before christmas
hm, I think the weatherman said that atleast november has been one of the warmest, if not even warmest for a loong loong time so far.. and said something like that about october back then...

Over here in New Zealand, it never snows. It's sunny every god damn day. I wish it would snow just once, for a little fun, or to cancel school.

Here we don't that much snow... At least not in the city, maybe some 4-5 cm's of snow around.. but nothing much.

Sometimes we have some 15-20 cm's snow. Mostly under that..

When i look at old familie pictures from he 80's and early 90's.. the snow has changed ALOT... cars were under in snow. 30-40 cm's normally..

So think it has something to do with Global Warming... :? :?

how many snow days we.. i don't know.

Leptons are one of the two basic classes of elementary particles (the others are the quarks)-has little to do with ice tea.
And here in Dortmund it's just about 15cm snow, but just a few km to the north, where my parents live, there is almost 50cm and complete chaos. 8O No current for about 250.000 people, trains don't go, streets are closed etc.-should have been broadcast on TV even in the rest of the world as this is extremely unusual (in fact, no one seems to remember something like that happened ever before here)

We had the great idea to visit Düsseldorf this weekend. The snow added some spice, yeah. :)
It only took a liiiiittle longer to get there. But nothing weights up against frozen feet, frozen hands and rostbratwurst.
