I guess Forrest has some max parts. Plus I saw it first time when I was like 4 and loved it then, even though I didn't understand a thing.

Forrest Gump, must be the best movie ever ( or one of the best), seen it so many times and it's never boring. There are some movies that I would say are better than Gump but I've seen those only once or twice so quite hard to compare.

Indeed

As far as I'm concirned, there would have been a great difference if everyone had seen every movie. It doesn't really work when some have only seen like 5 movies out of 64 (or whatever number we started on)

96 was the number. It wouldn't matter so much if everyone hadn't seen every movie if they didn't vote against movies they haven't seen.

I think the reason Forrest Gump is so loved is because it probably was the first good movie a lot of people saw. So you kinda have these childhood memories of it, and perhaps for that reason you can't view it critically today.

Speaking for myself I was hopeful after Round 3, still having 4 of my favourite movies left and a bunch of other very good movies as well. But then almost all of those favourites got knocked out in Round 4, albeit still of course some very, very good movies left.
I don't think either of the final two are among the best movies ever, but what can you do. By the way, how would things have turned out if A Clockwork Orange had been in the final instead of Pulp Fiction (as it would have been had I not been so lazy to do the Round 6 results)? I strongly believe Forrest Gump would have won anyway, despite A Clockwork Orange being the masterpiece that it is.

suggestions for possible new cup :o
i'm surprised none of these were even in 1st round before:

Unleashed (nearly cried at end)
Titanic (nearly cried at end)
Independence Day (will smith and jeff goldblum made it good)
Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (soo much action and amazing soundtrack)
Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny (soo much LOLs)
Snakes on a Plane (fucking hilarious, couldn't stop laughing)

Actually, why not start a new round with exactly the same movies? :O I'm fairly sure Forrest Gump would not win again. First of all because people wouldn't let it do so :p Second of all because 2 years has passed and new guys have entered the scene while the ones who participated in the first round most likely has seen more movies and changed their opinions.

Too much work all over again? Ok, I believe you.

Elma is excluded.

I actually think half life or half life 2 would win. Anyone up for arranging the cup? I could, if no one else wants to.
