If all kinds of series, as long as they aren't animated, are allowed (what about mini-series?):

24
Buffy: The Vampire Slayer
Columbo (wander if this is allowed)
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Desperate Housewives
House, M.D.
LOST
Seinfeld

Hmz, all I could think of right now that was worthy.
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

I really think we should make two world cups, one for comedy and one for drama/action, is impossible to compare those two genres if put together.

Drama/action:
Alias
Dawson's Creek
Lost
Prison Break
Brothers & Sisters
Studio 60 on the sunset strip
Veronica Mars

Comedy:
Arrested Development
Black Books
Friends
Scrubs
The Class
How I Met Your Mother
The Office US

I assume more votes on 1 show gives it a higher probability to get into the first round, in case there are too many suggestions?

LOST
Scrubs
Friends
Mythbusters
Anders och MÃ¥ns <3
Seinfeld
Monty Python's Flying Circus
Married With Children
Planet Earth
Perfect Disaster

Why not? maybe like 3 guys here like it, and if it only faces more unpopular shows, it might still get far - even further than more popular shows, since they might get beaten by other more popular shows.

I mean I suggested Monty Python's Flying Circus to this contest, and even though many might have heard of it, I'm not sure it will get that many votes, since it's not very popular. So why should a famous, yet not appreciated show be more able to get in than a non-famuos one? Just like Citizen Kane got beaten in the first round in teh best movie conetst. It's a famous movie, but obviously not that popular around here (or more likley, only like me and 2 more guys have seen it, so it had no chance).

Yeye let's drop this now..

Comedy and drama shows has been divided into two world cups, running at the same time. Choose one from each 32 pair from each genre. In case of a draw I'll make a cointoss, except from the last three rounds where we'll have a revote.

Voting will last till Friday 27. July.

Why have you put Desperate Housewives in comedy? Sure, it has some comedic elements, but it would be much more fitting to have it in Drama.

COMEDY

Desperate Housewives vs Fawlty Towers
Friends vs The Class
Alf vs Curb Your Enthusiasm
Viva La Bam vs Whose Line Is It Anyway?
Seinfeld vs The King of Queens
Scrubs vs Arrested Development
Monty Python's Flying Circus vs The Office US
Spin city vs The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air
How I Met Your Mother vs The IT Crowd
Joey vs Malcolm In The Middle
That '70s Show vs Black Books
Trailer Park Boys vs 8 Simple Rules
The Drew Carey Show vs My Wife And Kids
Two And A Half Men vs Married ... with Children
Men Behaving Badly vs Extras
Everybody Loves Raymond vs The Office UK

DRAMA

Studio 60 on the sunset strip vs Battlestar Galactica
Boston Legal vs House, M.D.
Lost vs Zorro
Numb3rs vs Macgyver
Stargate SG-1 vs Grey's Anatomy
Smallville vs Buffy: The Vampire Slayer
The 4400 vs Magnum, P.I.
Gilmore Girls vs Oz
24 vs Power Rangers Power Rangers, wtf?!
Babylon 5 vs Brothers & Sisters
Alias vs Columbo
Dawson's Creek vs Rescue Me
The X-files vs Twin Peaks
The Sopranos vs Heroes
Veronica Mars vs Carnivale
Prison Break vs The West Wing
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?
