If american shows so suck, how come we dont have finnish, russian, swedish, etc. etc. here in america, we do have a few but you guys can name almost every american show.

because MOST(not all, i dont know you, so you could be a cool guy) americans are in general, arrogant bastards. and your post proves it. dont take it offensively, its just my opinion.

if only america wasn't rich, then no one would watch the shows. the fact that they are spread over the world has nothing to do with their quality but the money behind them.

computers use very much electricity, consider shutting it off whenever it's not necessary to be turned on.

If you keep your machine turned on for 24/365 (whole year) the electricty fee are about $100-150 (in Finland). Also it takes more electricty to start the machine than just keep it turned on (the limit is in 20 minutes or something like that). Also time is money, we know. Loading OS takes a while.

following shows elecricity costs at helsinki, my power supply is 300W so i counted as it were it's max all the time.

prize at 07-20: (daytime)
8.43c/kWh x 0.3kW x 13h = 32.877c
prize at 20-07: (nighttime)
4.71c/kWh x 0.3kW x 11h = 15.543c
prize/day:
32.877c + 15.543c = 48.42c

notice that every 7 days there is 2 full night cost perioids, weekends.
365days, 52 weeks so it makes 104 weekend days and 261 weekdays.
electricity at weekends cost 4.71c/kWh x 0.3kW x 24h = 33.912c

as far as my math skill goes, i'd calculate it like this:

(32.877c x 261) + (15.543c x 261) + (33.912c x 104)
= 8580.897 + 4056.723 + 3526.848 = 16164.468c = 161.64468â‚¬

so i could briefly say my comp would cost 160â‚¬/year, if it were 24/7 on.

did i make mistakes?

I think you didn't make mistakes in counting but your computer doesn't use 300W all the time, either I'm not sure if you can count directly from that.
