Arn: Tempelriddaren - 8/10

The most expensive swedish movie ever, possibly surpassed only by it's sequel (duno about that). It has a swedish all-star cast, beautiful settings and some decent cgi even. Maybe not the most exciting story ever told on the big screen but I enjoyed it.

WALL·E - 7/10
Too much talking around the tv so i never really had focus on the movie, gotta rewatch it on my own. The impression I got today was that it didn't feel as marvelous as I heard it should be tho.

been watching some average movies recently

Rewatched Livet i 8 bitar but later discovered I had a rating for it already and the rating is unchanged: 4/10

The Skeleton Key, semicoal: 5/10

Säg att du älskar mig, a swedish movie about the problematic life of a 15 year old girl. Quite embarrassing acting at times but somewhat "entertaining" movie. A strong 4/10. It only occurred to me once during the movie but I found out afterwards it was shot here in Luleå.

Mississippi Burning

dame, now i know i should've watched this ages ago, but every time it popped up in my head, i somehow forgot about it and it remained unseen. but watched it yesterday, and man, it was better than i thought. way better. The way the actors portrayed the like southern nazi cops was amazing. I mean, if i saw one of them in person, i would actually keep my distance, just because the fact that they acted so well, it seemed as though they weren't acting at all.
Also, i recently found out this movie is pretty much based on a book made by a friend of my fathers, whom i've met a long time ago, and after seeing this movie, i'll be sure to read the book as well.
Anyway, this movie is surely a must-see, and i'm sure ill be re-watching it several times.

If i were to rate it, i guess i'd have to give it like a 9.5/10. it was a truly amazing movie, and it really affected me, even though i knew about this before watching it.

Saw this in the mid-90's but obviously I don't remember much so I had to rewatch. Pretty impsy acting by DiCaprio, ez beat Jonas Karlsson in Livet är en schlager.

12 Angry Men - 7/10

First time watch. I had seen the remake a few years ago, and remember liking that too. i don't often watch old movies, and even though it is over 50yrs old now, i quite enjoyed it. it's great to see a movie with only about 15 actors (all men) and filmed in one single room could be such a success.

i can also relate to many things in this movie, as i have been a juror for a murder case - not too long ago. in my situation, there were 11 people voting not guilty and 1 old lady voting guilty. it took 5 full days to "convince" her that he was not guilty, from a total lack of evidence. he was also the same age as the kid in the movie (18). overall it took over 3 weeks, and just like in the movie, it was a very very emotion thing to do, which was such a suprise to all of us. when the verdict was finally read, the emotions that were shown were unexplainable. his mum and father, who had been there everyday very silently weeping in fear for their childs life, burst out in such emotion when they heard the words they had been waiting to hear. i will never forget the moment when his father looked at the us jurors as mimed the words.... Thank you.

yeah i rambled on a bit.

REC - 9/10

A spanish horror movie filmed with "camera on shoulder" technique (like blair witch).

First got my attention when i saw trailer on youtube. Very positive comments about the movie so, decided to give it a try after finding a french version (Didn't want to spend all movie reading english subtitles).

I gotta say this, best horror movie i have seen in a while. I could sum up this movie with this : "Everything the blair witch project should have been".

Or by saying: "A cross between blair witch project and 28 days later".

Anyway, for horror movie fans who don't get motion sickness, definitly a good choice.

I'm with you BoneLESS, REC was above my expectations and had some really nice scares. I think I put something like 8 or 9 on it too. I kinda hate Hollywood for making a remake of it so soon after it's original release though, it will definately suck donkeyballs. In fact nat even gonna bother watching it.

Tonight is movienight here, I think I've earned it after the semimotivated studyingsessions I had today. Haven't decided what movie to watch though.

Watched Gomorra yesterday. Wow. I simply can't rate it becouse for me it's sort of out of rating films.
From time to time i can't understand how people can rate every single film. Films are so different and the scale is the one (and graduated mainly according to Hollywood products, 95% of which are trash).

As about John request,
There Will Be Blood is just a rox movie.
Usual suspects is nice for spending your time.

Hell Ride - 4/10
What a disappointment, I was megahyped seeing this :( About the same length as Spongebob Squarepants Movie, like more topless girls than I have fingers and toes to count them on and pretty much all of them hooking up with the main character / screenwriter Larry Bishop. Add to this a whanebe-coal-but-really-crappy-dialog and a not so interesting story. It has a stylish poster though.

A very sad story about a couple addicted to heroin - and what they would do to feed their addiction. there are some great scenes in this movie, and Heath Ledger played a great junkie. One of the few good movies out of Australia. Go watch.

Cold Mountain

I added it to my movies- list. And only movies I really like get to enter that list. Cold Mountain had no trouble entering that list. My god, great performance from Jude Law, Renée Zellweger, Nicole Kidman and I also liked Charlie Hunnam performance. I nearly cried some times throughout the film :). This movie certainly let's you know you're human.
