Hardest Style of Piano?

Post by A.K.B. »

Select and tell why.

eg. Because of leaping, stretching, interpretation timing etc.

selected Jazz because harder to do impsy quick keypresses and leaps than to stretch a little.

I chose romantic almost only because of Franz Liszt, by VERY FAR the best pianist history has EVER known. I mean it.

ah, one serious answer by ShadowM, and he doesn't know who Alkan is!

Nab, Alkan beats the dick out of Liszt's just check out his idiocally crazy stuff. Jewtub "Comme Le Vent" for the fastest piano song written. (Prestissamamente Quaver = 160 with hemidemisemiquavers at some point)

but oh well, Liszt was mad skills crazy hungarian, but still, no match for a french jew.

tell me again, what the fuck is old time? I haven't made my choice yet in this poll. And what is contemporary? For fuck's sake, you can't have a topic like this going without a proper introduction, you twat.

Don't be silly. You start a topic like this, then you better give us some introduction. It's not like everyone has a good terminology present for piano styles.

I finally voted for jazz now. Why? Its heavy improvisational nature makes it both the easiest and the hardest style around, it depends on the player though.

Put mine on romanticism.

Much harder than any jazz i've ever come across; and I'm seen the tremendous most hazardous examples.
