Movember (growing a Moustache)

Post by Memphis »

Hey Fellas,

I was just wondering if Movember was only a Canadian thing to do to or if it was world wide. What we are doing here is many guys in my office and around British Columbia and Canada as far as I know are growing a moustache to raise money for men's prostate cancer. It's a pretty funny idea and a good excuse to grow a moustache. If anyone else is doing it put up a photo of your moustache on here. I'll post my photo in a few days because it's a pretty solid stash.

Next year. I've already had a moustache earlier on, and it's not going to be solid yet.

They had a similar thing here like a year ago. Lots of famous swedes grew beard and moustache and then you could vote them out one by one until one was left as a winner. :p

I grew kinda exam-beard (slutspelsskägg ;o) + moustache and it's still there, orka upload pics tho.

My beard isn't big enough to grow a fine mustache, but I keep a nice small beard since a few years. But I never heard of Movember before...

Just for your information, yes, I'm 15. And yes, I said a few years.

Movember (a portmanteau of the words 'Moustache' and 'November') is an annual month-long event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November. The event has been claimed to have been invented in 1999 by group of Australian men from Adelaide.

Since 2004, the Movember Foundation charity has run Movember events to raise awareness and funds for men's health issues, such as prostate cancer and depression in Australia and New Zealand. In 2007, events were launched in Canada, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Dude, far out. You look definitely older than 15. But the way you communicate on the internet more than compensates for that, so it's okay I guess.
