Where is your home?

Where is your home?
Hey, thanks to Google Maps (I should download Google Earth too), I thought I could show you precisely where is my home. So, in this topic, you post picture of where your home is! By the way, sorry if the quality got fucked up, but thought JPG would be better than BMP because of the size. Anyway, you can still almost see the arrows.
Edit: By the way, La Tuque pwns (3rd photo, in the upper part).

...and then I photoshopped the streetview icon in the far right corner, yes. No, in Amsterdam they have like 75% in streetview. I already spotted a friend of mine in front of his home with streetview; his dog and his cap revealed him.
Re: Where is your home?
Yeah my mother saw the google streetview car mongoing around in Montreal downtown. It's weird that there still is no streetview here in Montreal since that my mom saw the car over 6 months ago
Re: Where is your home?

Re: Where is your home?
As some of you propably know already, I'm originally from Parikkala, which is a small municipality in eastern Finland. Nowdays I live in Jyväskylä in the central Finland because of my studyings:
http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/1682/zoom0.jpg
As you can see from the picture, the distance between these places is many kilometers. Also you can see from the picture my usual travelling route between these two places. You everyone propably have advanced enough routefinding-eye (thanks to all the battling) to notice that the route looks pretty ridiculous. But thx to the max Finnish railway system plan B would be to travel Jyväskylä - Tampere - Helsinki - Parikkala, which is even worse (though it even doesn't lose that much in time after all and I have even done it once). Also a bus isn't good option either (takes again more time). I could drive it with a car too, which would take only some 3,5 hours (vs. 6+ hours with train) and I actually do that sometimes but I don't really like driving a car long distances and then there's problem in storing the car here for some 3 weeks (the average time I spend in Jyväskylä between two Parikkala-visits).
Okay, then let's see my Parikkala-location more carefully:
http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/8587/zoom1koit.jpg
As you can see, the closest cities to Parikkala are Imatra, Lappeenranta and Savonlinna. Also Ladoga is pretty close but I have only visited it once, too bad Russians got it at WWII.
http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/8825/zoom2koit.jpg
At this picture you can see that I'm living in a small village called Koitsanlahti, which is the most southern part of Parikkala. At south there's an another small minicipality called Rautjärvi and actually the Rautjärvi city is closer to us than the Parikkala city.
http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/7487/zoom3koit.jpg
The mark that Google Earth placed there should be pretty accurately over our house, I compared it to better maps. And as you can see Russia is pretty close to our house. Pretty luckily Russia didn't get Parikkala totally though in WWII. Btw, at this summer some foreign tourists drove to our yard and asked where to go to see Russia heh.

Here's some super random picture from our backyard I found from my computer. The building in the picture isn't ours, it belongs to our old neighbour, an old lady who isn't living there anymore.
Then let's see my Jyväskylä place:
http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/4994/zoom1jyva.jpg
There's Jyväskylä and some near cities I really haven't ever visited.
http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/3065/zoom2jyva.jpg
Here you can already see something. It shows my location and also some other people's.
http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/8850/zoom3jyva.jpg
Getting pretty close. You can see that I'm living in part of a town called Ristonmaa. Also you can see the places where I study, pretty short distance to there.

Here are the Ristonmaa student apartments.
http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/9045/zoom5jyva.jpg
You can zoom it pretty close here in Jyväskylä (unlike some midde-of-nowhere Parikkala ofc). Luckily also there aren't any clouds like only 500m to east there is. Anyway there's exactly where I am with my two roommates. And as you can see adi is there now too - he moved to here from Tampere a few days ago so that we could play Elma better. Good team MiE spirit. There might live also some third super-secret-identity Elma guy too...

That was a fun read. Cliffhanger with the third elma guy and all..
Re: Where is your home?
I discovered this week that my house is available with Google Street View!!!!
It's awesome, since my house is 40 km away from Montreal, in a residential place, I didn't think Google would go up there
Posting pictures very soon.
