Guitar Hero 5

Post by A.K.B. »

Let's start off; this is a really awesome guitar hero; fucking great tracklist, modes are awesome etc.

Got some 98% and a 99% Expert sightread on guitar (however it was the first five tiers or so we played in career mode)

AWESOME CHALLENGES, the HO/PO challenges for bass, vocal combo challenge, guitar multiplier and the list goes on!

Please discuss.

Holy shit smax if you do not know half the songs there you are musically illiterate.

Haven't gotten really far in so I can speculate that there may be some really hard stuff.

ye, im quite into the music games for sure. and imo most of the GH games have been crap except GH2.
Rock Band was the shit until GH5 came out. the challanges, career mode and especially the new versus games owns every other music game by far!
only negative part about the game is that it might be a little to easy songs in the setlist :<

Aaaah, your one of THOSE people ;)

WT, GH3 were bad engines, even metallica. GH2 was by far the best game imo.

ya got this for the xbox360. It's solid, the tracklist is unreal. Over half the songs on it area unreal where as guitar hero's in the past have had like 4 good songs out of 30. Also the buttons you need to press coming up on the screen are more clear then ever before with the background screen being all black. There is a few really hard songs on it but shouldn't be too hard for you experts out there. Also got Marvel Ultimate alliance, Tiger Woods 10 and NHL 10 for the xbox. all really good games. Great graphics and solid gameplay online.

Ye hammer-ons and pull-offs is fucked up but still 3 & WT got best songlists. Guitar Hero 5's songlist sounds promising and could be better than those together.

Re: Guitar Hero 5

Customized one of my guitars. The body is almost 2 years old and the neck isn't modified.

My other guitar has a brand new body and modified neck so it's a lot more failsafe.

Hm so which GH is the best... I'd say GH2 too. GH3 wasn't that bad, the engine was ok and songlist was pretty coal too. GH3 is still what I pick out when I feel like cruising some GH. WT sucked really. WT had some coal songs later in the game, like the two last venues or smth but I never managed to get decent gameplay of WT (lag issue). Aerosmith is kinda expected to be sux too, yet I'm on my 2nd copy of it :s bought GH:A real cheap, realised it sacked and sold it. Then got it again when bought Les Paul + GH:A cheaper than a Les Paul alone. So GH:A is actually so sax it lowers the value on the whole pack. GH Metallica is so-so, having some problems fixing nice lag here too but at least it has nice songs.

PS3-players, add Adamant116 to friends and we can play some GH/RB in the future.

Some random GH-babble in the middle of the night.

Actually GH Rocks the 80's is the "Encore" for Guitar hero II, it was the Third game released, so it'd be GH 2.5

played only gh2, gh3 and aerosmith - finished all songs except that fucking ttfaf, where i ended up like 50 times in teh end of that long solo (83% was it?)
i don't have any playstation or xbox so i played it only at school, if i had more time i would definitely finish teh.. but the console we had here has been taken and i can't try anymore
anyway i think rockband and gh4-5 are already a bit over the top - wtf, playing like a band?
learn how to play on real guitar, nabs:) this is slowly getting retarded
what will be next? 22 frets? many strings? wtf?

Exactly the same here, except I made it two times past that part but failed at 90% (5 seconds before the easy part just before the end).

sight-reading is a term used in music when you don't know the piece beforehand and you play as you read the notes for the first time. get it? xd

Played some GH2 and GH3 during xmas holiday. Managed to do 10 FCs which for some of you here is pretty sux, but it exceeded my previous yearly quota so I'm pretty happy. Love the setting that my sister had:

Stereo TV 28"
PS2 (mine)
Wired guitar (mine)

If fukked up on that setup I could only blame myself, unlike up here where there's hdtv-lag and wireless usb-retards... sry usb-guitars :( cant stress enough how fukkin sux it is

might be wrong topic but here we go. meet a drummer from the states yesterday with a capture card. he was impressed with how bad i was with strumming and how skilled i was on solos with fast HO/PO. so he asked if he could frap some songs with me doing guitarr + drums. so here we go, first song of the day, Coheed and Cambria - Welcome Home (i know quite easy song! but more is coming!):
