As I wrote in the "Latest thing you bought"-thread I recently bought Skyrim for PS3. Open world, immense amount of hours to spend doing everything and no need to play online to get any trophies (possible EOL references are on you). It feels very daunting at the moment but I will try for the platinum trophy. We'll see how often I can play, my PS3 is still in my apartment while I pretty much live at my gf's. Buying it was a gamble, I have no previous experience with any Elder Scrolls game and I hadn't seen anything else than trailers. So far I'd say it's a 7/10.

Didn't quite make it to 100% in Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare before started playing Skyrim but I'll deal with it later. There's only a few missing persons left + rank 3-5 in Sharpshooter.

Platinum doesn't look too hard to be honest. Gotta pretty much finish all the main questlines though.

My 60Gb phatty PS3 got the YLOD so I bought a 500Gb slimmy today. Hopefully will be able to fix YLOD so that I can transfer save files to a usb. Sucks going from 100.00% completion to 0.00% in GTA V in which I got platinum trophy like 2 days before YLODed. Now installing Ni No Kuni. Added trophy stats in signature since outdated pic in Raven's first post.

You mean the kind of trophies you get for completing like the first 5 minutes of a game? I guess they make you want more trophies and thus continue playing their game.

Ni No Kuni 5 hours in. Decent but linear (after 6 months of GTA it's quite noticable). Really like the animation in the cutscenes, like taken directly from a Studio Ghibli movie. Wonder if orka hoyl 100%.

I don't know about that :)

Ni No Kuni definitely worth a playthrough. I'm 62hrs into it, quite hooked. Quite Pokemonish if you want it to be. Can always just run through the story if you're not a completionist, possibly some grinding needed to reach decent levels needed to advance though. Too bad the Studio Ghibli hand drawn cut scenes I was talking about mostly appear in the beginning. Later on in the game 99% of all cut scenes are basic computer animation.

Completed the story in Ni No Kuni yesterday. Liked the game very much so can definitely recommend it.
The game doesn't end after the credits, in fact there seems to be a bunch of new side missions and bounties. That's what I'm up to atm. Aiming for 100% completion as always ;)
Nobody but me playing PS3? :(

Ni No Kuni platinumed (100% trophies). 138 hrs playtime. Very good game but quite some grinding needed in the end.

Now I've started L.A Noire. Seems like ez platinum and the game is quite ok. Too bad the car physics is horrible, impsy doing tiny adjustments to avoid traffic. It's like the steering wheel is either ON or OFF when turning and honestly the car behaves like a boat.

I've put L.A. Noire on hold, it became very repetitive. Didn't get used to the car physics either, still horrible.

Now I'm trying to platinum Bioshock Infinite. Such love/hate relationship with that game. Seems tedious and just 'orka' every time before I start it up. Then 4 hours pass in no-time. Finished it on Hard already, now playing 1999 mode.
Really fear the Lady Comstock fights. Thought they were difficult already on Hard and this time around I can't use any Dollar Bills if I want that last gold trophy.
Missed the very last Voxophone, the 80th, on my first playthrough without guide :( Still no platinum but got at least 3 silver trophies and 1 gold today! Gotta hoyl hand cannon and crank gun and do some other stuff still. Later...

Will probably buy an used PS3 soon for Killzone-trilogy and Sly games :) Feel free to suggest other PS-exclusive goldies as well, many of the good multiplatformerz i have already on x360 like RDR, GTAV etc

Edit: oh yeah and good co-op games could be fun since those and multiplayer are gaming at its finest imo :)

No, haven't :)

I found a new game to dive into... Borderlands! First I thought the controls were horrible, but after a while I got more used to it. Now pretty coal game even though the vehicle controls are still bad. Be back in a few months when have platinum ;o Duno what's next after that. Perhaps double dipping and getting GTA V for PS4 and 100% that again. Other games maybe Watchdogs or The Division.

Completed Playthrough 1 in Borderlands yesterday. Was quite coal game after all, although not that challenging. There's one trophy I'm worried about "And They'll Tell Two Friends". Since the servers are down I can't play with anyone who has this trophy already. Possibly there's some kind of LAN solution but I haven't looked into that yet.

Second game in a row where I can't get ez platinum due to online servers being shut down and online trophies becoming impsy to get. This time it's Skate 3. Really annoying, also the little OCD person in me doesn't find the incomplete games very good looking in the trophy list. Just doing the finishing touches to Skate 3 offline atm.

Servers back online, didn't know that but tried joining an online game anyway, maxest positive surprise when trophy popped up :o After 4 months dormant in my game folder it took me 3 mins to get that last trophy and my 9th platinum.

Hoyling Borderlands 2 and the daily challenges in Rayman Legends atm (ez platinum in a few weeks). Games I have installed but haven't tried yet: Mafia II, Alien Isolation, Thief, Dead Island, Far Cry. Alien most likely next game to try platinum.

Would recommend all the DLCs for Borderlands2, especially Tiny Tina's one (which generally is considered a masterpiece), in case you haven't got them already. You probably have though :p It's one of the few games for which most DLCs did not disappoint me at all, but rather did the opposite. Some raid bosses are actually tough on OP8 though ;) Luckily, they're not required for platinums.

New platinum. Tomb Raider was nicely balanced between casual gameplay and intense action gameplay. Surprisingly likeable. Liked it especially much in single-player, multiplayer felt underdeveloped and put in the game just for the sake of having multiplayer turning the game into a 15-20 hour grind for the final trophies.

Platinum #18: Tomb Raider, 2016/05/08
Platinum #19: Prince of Persia, 2016/05/24

Quite easy. Would've gotten it earlier if it wasn't for a glitch that forced me to go for another playthrough. Why grab 1000 collectables once when you can do it twice?! :x

I liked it, played some 127 hrs or smth. Definitely worth a try having generally good reviews, 85/100 Metascore and about the same from user reviews.

Platinum #1: Skate 2, 2010/05/23
Platinum #2: Skyrim, 2012/09/11
Platinum #3: Just Cause 2, 2013/04/02

Platinum #19: Prince of Persia, 2016/05/24
Platinum #20: Mafia II, 2016/06/14

Took some 22hrs of playtime. In my opinion the game felt quite short, only 15 missions, but it was quite fun while it lasted. It also had nice collectables, 50 old school Playboy centerfolds :)

Overall completion 100% and Platinum Trophy in Metal Gear Solid V for PS4. Took about 223 hours. Now started Witcher 3. Im just 2 hours in so far so feels new and weird since used to MGS physics and button layout.

Edit: This was platinum #22. Platinum #21 was No Mans Sky in september, seems I forgot to mention.

About 1 hour (max) of playtime left in Witcher 3 before platinum. Total playtime is 170hrs atm. Last trophy is simply to reach level 35 and im at 1712/2000xp on level 34. Will see if orka play much of the DLC, usually lose interest after platinum ;/ Next game most likely Just Cause 3, a bit more casual game before hopping into Fallout 4 later.

Yeah, quite nice game altho i didnt get as hooked on Witcher as on Skyrim (in which i spent more than twice the playtime). Still will miss the mythology and the game world of Witcher as its the only game apart from some occasional Elma that ive played since december :p

Also funny, people seem to be making some pretty serious builds, applying oils to the swords and adding glyphs and such. I applied oil once, added only a handful of glyphs in the entire game and hardly used any bombs apart from those needed when grinding trophies. Simple slash-and-dodge strat worked fine :D I was waiting for that perfect gear to boost but before i got the chance the game was over ;o

Yeah, I also never use bombs or oils. I always add glyphs to swords tho, some cool effects there =) even if they don't help much with the actual battles.

My unbeatable combo is Quen + slash & dodge or until hit, then reload Quen and start slashing again. Literally dunno how anything could work better :p

My only problem with this game at the moment (other than the repetitive face and clothing models... when are RPGs gonna get over this) is that it's too easy!!! I'm playing on the hardest difficulty level (death march) and still most enemies are no challenge at all. Even those that appear with teh skull :/ Although I did stumble upon a cave full of venomous arachases on Skellige and they had me on like 2 hits, while my hits damaged them by like 0.1% health :D I'll be back!

Also, Triss or Yen?

(sorry, had to :>)

You're too used to Gothic where everything kills you.

I used the same combo, worked very well even on Death March (as you said) :)

Always avoided skull icon enemies as i stumbled across a few who one-hit me ;(

Liked Triss better but hooked up with both 8) Triss, Yen or Ciri? ;O

Hah, that's almost incest :D Triss ez, the gorgeous dress convinced me ^^

Ruben: I simply enjoy challenges. It's not nearly as fun if I can 1-hit most monsters and don't even have to worry about getting hurt :<

Played some more Typoman. Only 1 trophy left before platinum, don't really like when they add platinums in these kind of minigames though. Anyway, I managed to get a gold trophy on my 5th try. Had to finish the game with a maximum of 5 deaths. Have had a couple of runs with 6 deaths but finally managed a run with only 4. Streamed it on Youtube. https://youtu.be/km1FQOkEjY8 ... 1 viewer :D

Took a bunch of end-game trophies today and finally at 02:00ish I got the platinum. The last trophy that I had left was one where I had to depend on others, so stupid to put such in a single player game :/ Quite like Watch Dogs where I got the platinum while sleeping on the couch. Fallout 4 may be next!
