A bit silly race, but this is Monaco

I'm glad Webber won. I knew he was favorite to win. The other 2 disappointed me. Hamilton didn't exist there and Kimi was way too slow. Anyway, 6 races, 6 different winners :)

heh, ferrari and redbull nabbed a bit with strategy :p very fun battle between hamilton, alonso and vettel. cheered hamilton from the beggining of race, am happy to see 7th winner in 7th race
lol'd to see massas best lap time at the end o,o such bad/unregular driving before that and there comes massa with best tiem
nice to see new faces on podium again, especially perez coming out of nowhere
entertaining shiat, things are getting interesting

great job by polish commentator also, love that guy
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

we have teh sky f1 commentators and it's fucking annoying cause they are all like

"Vettel and Alonso duelling for the lead right now, side by side around the hairpin I WONDER HOW THIS AFFECTS BUTTON AND HAMILTON IN 6TH AND 12TH?

Yes, Hamilton will definitely be benefit from this, maybe he get point because one of these two crashes out"

OMG STFU NO ONE GIVES A SHIT. They have the worst bias for the british drivers, it's just down right frustrating now.

Race was pretty boring except the leaders fighting, Grosjean and Perez driving fast too. Webber disappointing, Button worse.

Oh well. Mercedes once again proved that they are fail team. They shouldn't be allowed to let Schumacher go with DRS open, but it's not surprise as they previously let him drive with unattached wheel.

We had no sitting places, just General Admission. On Saturday we were at Pouhon. Was nice but the TV screen wasn't too big and it was very hard to see the text and numbers so it was quite confusing to follow the quali.

Image

Sunday at Rivage. We had to stand whole time to be able to see something. But visibility was quite good and the TV screen was much bigger so we were able to see all the happenings very well.

Grosjean on Hamilton yeah. i lolled.

Don't ban Koboyashi, wasn't entirely his fault (to a large degree obviously but just bad decide)

so the prelast race is over. Feelings?

Hamilton did great job, i was just wondering, was everything ok with Sebastian´s car or what? he usually leaves all others far behind, now hamilton just came to him and took P1 ike a candy. Very nice driving from him too. Button also excelled imo, he always experiments with pitting and all the stuff...

New race?

I find this new american track very nice, some turns are so LOL, almost every hairpim provided nice overtaking, it was very much about it, and about DRS as well.

who will win in ur opinion?

i favor Vettel, hope he will not be shot down by some Karthikeyan or someone...

Well Alonso can only win if Vettel has a problem with car. I think Alonso's chances are like 10%.

I remember some time ago there was a discussion about whether F1 drivers have exceptional skills or are just average hoylas with wealthy parents (zweq was on the second side I think...?)
I think it's pretty interesting to watch this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgdTi1tlZYo

Bear in mind that the guy talking/driving is Richard Meaden, editor of 'evo', a sports car magazine, a guy who has been driving sports/racing cars since he was born.
1300bhp/ton makes you think about it... (for comparison, ferrari 458 has 380bhp/ton)

The first race I watched with some buddies, awesome :D Also obviously pretty much the most exciting race of the season, just perfect!!! The most ideal conditions for excitement - track constantly drying/going wet :D Real thriller...

What Vettel managed to pull of is just jawdropping, 22->6 in 10 laps with a HOLE in his car, fucking incredible. Honestly, I was keeping my fingers crossed for him for the first time in my life (I really didn't want Alonso to win ;D), and he did a fantastic job, really deserves the title, no matter how much I don't like him :)

Thank God Alonso didn't win o,o I'm happy for Massa, first home podium (is it? at least in a while), despite helping Alonso all around =)

One of my favourite moments was Schumi letting Vettel go through and tapping him on the back after the race, rare to see such a feeling of brotherhood, heart-warming, old master passing the torch to the new master :)

I really wish Hulkenberg finished higher up, too bad he slipped next to Hamilton :/ I'd like Hamilton to stay at the front too, because then McLaren could get 2nd place in teh constructors' championship and Button would retain no.3 :D But screw it, better Hamilton than Button. Speaking of which - OMG CCOOOOOOOOOOOOL GZ!!!!!!!! I was so happy :D Looks like Button always wins the coolest races :D I was a bit pissed off with the first safety car too, Button and Hulkenberg risked as hell staying on the slicks when literally everyone else went in for inters, which paid off giving them 45s advantage, which was then ruined by SC :( If not that, top3 would probably remain a combination of Button, Hamilton and Hulkenberg, which would've been pretty much perfect for me ;)

I wish Raikkonen was higher up too, but well, at least he remained 3rd in the championship =) Also, he's probably the only person in the world who can GET LOST ON THE CIRCUIT, I rafled so hard at that :D)))))))

Can't wait for the next season so badly o,o

We aren't actually going to the circuit this year because i have other commitments to make, but it's literally taken over the city. More so than ever before.

Some interesting things with Melbourne race:

1. Lots of discussion in 2012 from politicians about cutting funding for the race because it doesn't have a very large profit margin.
2. Bernie Ecclestone said if they cut funding to the official organizers, he'll basically pay for it because it's his favourite race on the calendar.

--

Will be an interesting year. I'm excited to see whether or not Perez and Hamilton perform in their new cars.

well the event still profits, even if it's not multiple billions each time. He'd be getting return out of it, not just throwing money at a wall. Government here basically hates anything that doesn't directly benefit them.
