Driving a real car

Post by Abula »

I've been in driving school last two months and should get the license in 7th of June. I'm waiting :-).

So how many of you already has it? Is the age limit 18 years all around the Elma world for getting a car card? I'm also interested in a driving culture of Hungary, Czech and so on. Tell something, I'm bored :-).

Post by onlainari »

yes ,I have tried that couple times. I have had to drive my car back to home from friend's place after 6 beers..it's 2km in a medium/small city..but i've done it so many times so I almost could do it my eyes closed. 6 beers is not really a drunk, but it gives some numbers on that alkometer. Hey what about driving car on weed? I didn't do it but my friend who I smoked with drove a car..he can control the car very handy. How about driving a car when u r totally high(like heroin,lsd,etc)..I guess that would be hard to you :D

Driving in Hungary

Post by jcl »

I do not have driving license yet, but planning to get one this year.
In Hungary you must be 16+ to drive, most boys get license by
joining the army, so it's free. In my opinion hungarian drivers are
really aggressive, they doesn't care about other drivers or people.
Parking is a hell in Budapest, cars are parking everywhere in the
narrow streets causing these streets to be one-way. We do not have
enough freeways, and on the few ones you have to pay a lot of money
(at least compared to salaries) to drive. We still have a lot of old
east-european cars running around making so much noise and smoke.
I live right beside one of the most crowded streets in Budapest, man
it's annoying! Ok, I stop f*cking my lovely country...

i don't have a licence so i'm not a very good driver . i'm about good enuf to get it tho i think . my friend tho is a taxi for us and he drives often after smokin weed . it can have both positive and negative effects , like alcohol . if u get paranoid or sh1t . but then u stop those thoughts and focus , weed enhances your perception but makes you react slower . about psychedelic drugs.. they can give u aware control but u should learn to handle them before doing them while u drivin . but still to do them while u drivin must be a choise of utmost consideration :D

"enhances your perception". That's what you think when you smoke, but it actually makes you focus on things you usually don't focus on. That's why it's dangerous, and that's why you think you have a better perception ("i see more details").
Experiments have been performed and they've proved it's really dangerous.

about weed enhancing your perception is tested by british army . pilots found 100% of targets with weed , but a little slower than without weed , but without it they didnt get 100% . of course it's dangerous driving with weed in the brain , cos most ppl are not used to do it . but it has positive effects . if u r racing it could very well help u to win .

Oki, I got the lisence 18.6. on tuesday and drove 300km in that day (+ about 30km in the test and the last lesson). 60km yesterday (it's thursday already here). I didn't manage to get the card in my first try but just in second.

After all driving isn't that funny I thought. It's quite ok however.

this morning i was in a car crash on my way to my first day of work.
my friend pulled out at a intersection and a car hit us rite were i was sitting.

i was hardly conscious but they caried me out of the car and i started to see straight again.

anyway i eventually came home with the headache from hell and i thought i mite just play some elma. this wasnt goin to well as i could see 2 bikes. but then all of a sudden i set three of my fastest times

moral of this story.
always check for traffic and that u should play elma when you are seeing double

Maybe we can think again our behavior in traffic now when this dramatic thing (Bobisek) happened eventhough the fault wasn't the driver's, I think. Or maybe too much speed, I don't know.

Driving good cars (like Tuska's father's) is enjoyable but our own Opel Corsa -90 doesn't give any satisfaction to me.

I think I've driven~about 4000km after getting my card a bit more than two months ago. FEM02 took 1/3 of that so far :].

Like MJXII said, 17 here.
I'm told that driving at 40mph (30mph speed limit here) makes you concentrate more...
Dont drink and drive at the same time, you might get the steering wheel sticky...............with beer mofo!
I dream of a world where chickens can cross the road without their motives being questioned.

Not driven by you I presume.

When I was like 8 years old I was in 173km/h. When I got the license I didn't get more speed than 110-120km/h for max. Later I tested 140km/h (Opel Corsa, 1.4i) and Tuska's dad's 155km/h (VW Passat 1.9 [?]) while Tuska and px are sleeping :]. Long straight roads and nothing around. After that I have hardly break 125km/h, not even 120km/h I'm quite sure. It's too less fun compared to the risks.

mph ~ 1.61km/h

230-250 was a good guess, it's about 240 km/h.
