Probably the most silly song I've ever heard. I wanted to bring back some memories from some parties few years ago:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0ehKEm8q0A

Kylie give me
Kylie give me

Baby, you're the one that melt my heart
I swear I'm not lying
Maybe tonight I'm gonna try my luck
I can see that you want me
I'm dreaming about you every night
Every night

Kylie give me just a chance
Let's go out and dance
We can get into the groove
I can watch you move
Later you can sing to me
Like a shining star
But I rather do you on the backseat of my car

Kylie give me just a chance
Let's go out and dance
We can get into the groove
I can watch you move
Later you can sing to me
Like a shining star
But I rather do you on the backseat of my car

Baby, take a minute check me out
I sit in the frontrow
Baby I'm the coolest guy in the crowd
I'm sure you have seen me
I'm dreaming about you every night
Every night

Kylie give me just a chance
Let's go out and dance
We can get into the groove
I can watch you move
Later you can sing to me
Like a shining star
But I rather do you on the backseat of my car

Kylie give me just a chance
Let's go out and dance
We can get into the groove
I can watch you move
Later you can sing to me
Like a shining star
But I rather do you on the backseat of my car

You drive me crazy
You slowly drive me crazy
Think about you baby
Can't get you out of my mind
I should be lucky
I should be so lucky
I should be lucky to sleep with you tonight

Kylie
Kylie
Kylie
Kylie give me just a chance
Let's go out and dance
We can get into the groove
I can watch you move
Later you can sing to me
Like a shining star
But I rather do you on the backseat of my car

Kylie give me just a chance
Let's go out and dance
We can get into the groove
I can watch you move
Later you can sing to me
Like a shining star
But I rather do you on the backseat of my car

Kylie give me

If you don't like it, you are Kylie and you were raped on the backseat of his car :P

I've been doing a post-rock marathon for about a week now.
I've been putting GYBE away all the time (saving the best for the last), but I finally convinced myself to play something... F#A#8 it was, and I'm fucking stunned o,o First play in 2 months, and I can't believe how awesome The Sad Mafioso and Dead Metheny are O.O I'd go to see them live again, hopefully better setlist next time...

Good song, terrible video. My father used to pay somewhat similar music, and him and his band would always make sure that during concerts there would only be plain, white light because they felt the music was intense enough. Just like that I think the video in this case just distracts you from the actual music)

Mahler 1. I have to go through all of these wonderful symphonies! Something to do before I die. :) I have played 3 of them now - 2, 5 and 9, and had my Fanfare premièred in France in the same hall that Mahler premièred his 5th!

I must say, I didn't enjoy the 1st as much as 2 and 9, but still, what a god-like orchestration skill I can hear! Unbelievable. :)

i just gave daft punk's random access memories a listen. it has some killer tracks on it, like fragments of time and contact. but there's some stinkers too like motherboard (starts out as a cool flute jam, but the cool flute jam lasts like 5 minutes over and over again). overall it sounds like kraftwerk and george duke had a modern baby. also, it has a random progressive metal-esque bit at the end of giorgio by moroder, whats with that? xD

homework = not heard

human after all = 3/10

other than daft punk, i've been jamming to primus over the past few days, i forgot how hench les claypool is on bass

abruzzi wrote:nothing, i can rarely be bothered to turn on my speakers, cant care bout that just
as i mentioned above i wasn't used to listen anything when i used the comp, but recently i found out that maybe music can improve some actions of my brain, let's say i'm slightly better at chess or i'm less bored whatever

anyway i can rarely be bothered to download any music, and when i open youtube to have a song listened, there is usually a big, up to several-hourish piece of silence eachafter, because i'm too lazy to write another title or just cant think of any

anyway that's not the point of my post, as i haven't found any topic directly connected with the headset issue, i chose this one as the closest to operate with my considerations

so, i'm having 3 (three) minor or major problems with a headset which i couldn't have predicted, because i had never used that equipment on a daily basis before

i have panasonic, quite cheapest, big, ear-covering headset
  • 1. Ears hurting in a strange and unpleasant way after more than 40 minutes of having headset set on head.

    2. Ears having too hot place being cut off from fresh air, therefore a need to refresh its air more and more often as the time passes by.

    3. The wire being always accidentally pulled in a dangerous way despite looking out not to do so. I don't want one earphone to stop working, it's shit then!

So, I kindly ask for any help as it would make my life much much easier. Probably a massive most of you are people whose amount of music-containing files run into hundreds of thousands of megabytes. Therefore, unlike me, I doubt you can imagine any comp-session without music being listened to. Then many of you are using headset, so please advise me on this, hopefully easy to overcome, uncomfortabilities.

Yeah, can relate to all 3. I used to go through many cheap headsets a year, mostly because they kept falling apart. Sennheiser 201 fixed all 3, though. It's not too heavy and somehow air passes through so ears don't get hot either. With these I can beisikly listen to music around the clock, stop listening and forget to take them off because there's simpli no discomfort. They also take a decent amount of teh inevitable punishment from tugging and dropping and such, but haven't broken in about 4 years of daily use (whereas others typically broke in half a year). But I have no idea how to make a shit headset okay, so this post is useless. :(() But hey, 40 minutes is about an average album's length.

I had Sennheisser HD202 (which I bought by myself for 30€) and they were great. I liked the design at first, but after I saw them on someone else in the bus I started to think, that they look weird on head. But the sound was very good - very deep bass, which I liked (I listen to metal and sometimes electronic music) and they were very comfortable. They broke (the cable on left ear broke to be more specific) after some time (2 years I think), so I needed new ones. (btw the cable was 3m long and it was weird to have it rolled on a piece of plastic for comfortable lenght)

I got Beats Solo HD as a present last week and the sound is quite good. I expected it to be maybe even better, but they sound quite "real" to me. I mean the songs sound very real - like if you hear them live. They give the best result with rap/spoken word, which isn't what I needed, but overall quality for other genres is still very good, so no real problem here. Some songs are a bit different now, coz Solo HD do have increased mids and I was used to increased bass... The cable is great quality, the "conrol" on the cable is perfect (it lets you pause, forward, skip to next/prev song, receive calls) and last but not least, they look amazing. It might look a little poserish to have them, but I live in big city, so it is nothing very unusual for people to have them here. The only problem is that they are too tight -> after 45 mins - 1 hour my ears start to hurt a bit. I hope I will find a possition on my head where this won't be an issue, but so far I do not recommend them for long sitting in front of the computer.

If the new headphones broke up, I will buy Sennheisser again (but probably some nicer model :) ). But I hope it won't be anytime soon.

just my 2 cents to the slight off-topic :)

ontopic: I didn't rly find any new music in last few months :D (maybe just this DnB song http://youtu.be/BCC_AvmHpR4 and few other, but no new band)

Not wanting to be a bitch, but I fucking hate such posts with links that do not say what they are unless you click on them and see what's in there. Especially in this kind of topics it would be reasonable to write the title of the song in the actual post.

Edit: I just want to add that those two new Muse songs are pretty good indeed =)

Ultra music festival on Twitch.

I have never had an affinity for such music genre, but I told myself: let's just try. What I observed is, that I don't find any climax in any of those songs. It just starts, goes, goes, beats, beats, goes on, and suddenly ends. No gradation and the peak. Just hardbeat music with little to no melody and epileptic lights everywhere. Maybe it needs to be experienced live as big disco party (which I don't like) or I just don't find it entertaining enough to get my full attention listen. Background musik to playing games or streaming it's fine. Also I felt a bit brainwashed when was going to sleep.

How come there was no gradation or peak? I don't know which artist was playing when you were listening, but I just don't believe that.

For example try to listen to some of these songs:

Alesso
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7SouU3ECpU
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLa_ryRjC7M

Tiesto
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EaE0_gQLw0

These are just from the top of my head, no idea which other artists performed on the festival, just a friend told me something about it.

Martin Garrix and Armin van Buuren currently (yesterday night). Garrix was imo mediocre, Buuren a bit better, at least he doesn't act like a brainwashed.

About the peak, I mean something like soundgasm. It just didn't come. If you are listening to some song, and there si verse, chorus, verse, CHORUS, verse, bridge, CHORUS CHORUS. And those choruses aren't there, it's just like verse bridge verse...

edit: and I have great sound and quality bass, so it's not just about "it's just low qality stream", was going on source.

Armin is one of the best imo, I definitely recommend his music. I don't know, I have eargasm by listening to most of his songs (Coming Home being my favorite).

About the peak thingy. Electronic music is a little bit different I think. The chorus has constant melody flow most of the time, just more and more instruments (e.g. bass line) and layers (depth) is added. But there is a huge variety, so can't really generalize much.

I personally love uplifting/progressive trance and house, but not judging by these criteria, I just treat individual songs whether I like them or not.

Been continuing listening to Muse more and more this year (already 1900 plays !) and reached a point that I now bought a ticket to their Drones world tour in Helsinki next summer. Stokeding, I just hope I won't lose my interest too quickly because it's still so far away in the future.

That's nice, I can't really say I am waiting for any specific song over another. I haven't really been to that kind of gig before so I'm just stoked in general. Well I could say from the new album I like The Handler very much and also I'd like to hear some older ones like City Of Delusion, but in any case it's going to be great!

I've started to hoyl Two Steps From Hell, was so exciting that I bought Battlecry album on iTunes (4.99 eur sale), and will prob buy more and more. Even found some arrangment of Star Sky on musescore, and adapted it a bit for piano so I can play (would be sick if I managed to get some friends with drums/voice/violin rehearse it).

Song of the year for me, listened to various versions over 150 times since I discovered it in late July.

Hard to believe that this song is from 1978. Sounds so fresh. Thanks for sharing this.

Yeah, he was really ahead of his time. His band Yellow Magic Orchestra is considered very influential in electronic music. Check out the YMO version of the song, I didn't know that such badass sound was possible in 1981: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xB0cwq-C77g

Interesting! Sounds very kraftwerk-ish to me; maybe not the style of the songs, but the sounds used are very similar. Compare the sounds in the first song to this one:

This song is one that has been going through my head for some months now:

Haven't listened to a lot of Yes before, but this song is just holy shit good.
