Post by zworqy »

Why wasn't this topic created before?
Anyway, YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!

grats Sweden :*
I'm guessing it's biggest win yet (also relative), well deserved, it was something quite different as well as enjoyable.

Norway ez deserved last place, extending their amazing record of now 11 of those ;)
Had expected Denmark to do better :/ but well

Other of my favs were Switerland, Latvia which didn't make it to final, also really liked Spain, Iceland.

Sucks. Now we have to pay for this crap next year when we could be spending our money on something that isn't completely retarded.

Sweden's song was great (and my favorite) and totally deserved the victory. Also got as many as 19 12-pointers, which is a new record and totally sick! Though Norway and Alexander Rybak still has the record in total amount of points =)
Kopaka wrote:Norway ez deserved last place, extending their amazing record of now 11 of those ;)
I wish, but I'm not sure it counts as a last place since 16 countries didn't even qualify for the final ;x
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

Sweden knew that there is risk of winning when they decided to participate this year. Nevertheless you don't have to organize it. There is always a back plan with BBC.

Can someone rename this topic as a general Eurovision Song Contest thread (and maybe join other topics also) because clearly ESC is not very popular topic in here so it feels a bit pointless to create own topic every year... dunno.

Anyways, today is the ESC 2013 first semifinal, which songs are your favorites? Three of my favorites are competing in this semifinal: Montenegro and Slovenia of course and Denmark also. Denmark seems to be a big favorite to win the whole competition, but I don't think it is that clear/great. I really hope all of these go through to the final. Other songs (outside this semifinal) I like are France (very stylish song!) and Norway, also Greek and Switzerland have cool songs.

Slovenia, Montenegro, Norway or France FTW!

Bllah, yesterday's semifinal was a total disaster. Well, at least I can be happy that Denmark, Moldova and Netherlands made it through, but two of my absolute favorites (Slovenia, Montenegro) didn't :( :|

Didnt follow eurovision too, before last evening.
So, my impression. Imo the best yesterday was Moldova, just awesome, so strong and nice voice, very liked. Liked Denmark, so cute girl, not bad vocal, but cant see her at 1st place tho. Belarus in final is just lol. Montenegro was for me like wtf. About Ukraine. I knew she is beautiful lady and singer. But this song... didnt liked much. Still good performed. And when was the two countries remained for final, worried to max :) Expected something more nice from Russia. Liked Estonia too. Would like to highlight Netherlands too, so nice melodic song.
Oke, will see what bring us 2nd semifinal :)

Liked a lot of the songs in first semi, I voted for Russia, Moldova and Serbia. Would also have liked to have seen Austria go through. Don't really like netherlands like many seems to do, danish commentater hightlighted that one aswell, too boring song.

What is this? Why no Symphony televised competition? :(

answer: because no audience patience for listening 10 hours of boring. And noone has the skills.

Grats Denmark! I would've preferred something a bit different to win, but is ok. I don't understand how Azerbaijan made it to the 2nd place though. Very boring and generic song, I just don't get it. Also Finland's horrible placement was quite a surprise, I would've thought something like 10-15. Not even our neighbor countries gave us any points, wtf? But anyways, it was again a fun ride this year, Loreen's performances were outstanding in the first semi and the final too (though the new song just sucked). Euphoria is such a great song, best in ESC ever.

What the fuck?

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev has ordered an inquiry into why his country gave Russia "nul points" at Saturday's Eurovision Song Contest.

Don't know if I had any favorite, perhaps Norway's song because it does sound like the end credit theme song from some Bond movie.

Quite deserved victory though.
