Oke...
So here is THE topic where YOU post pictures and give info of your car(s) and owner history, etc.
Let me be the first to show one of my cars.
Info:!:
Brand: BMW
Type: 3- Series E46
Engine: 2.0 Diesel
Chassi: Saloon
Production year: 2004
Rims winter: 17" original bmw
Rims summer:18" original bmw
I bough this car from a friend the spring 2012. It was imported from Germany. Fell in love with it instantly, and still is. BMW know what comfort is!

In Sweden we say that those are nice rims!
Blaztek's not so much. (no offense) I shouldn't say anything, I don't even have a car.
If I would have a car it would be this one:

Subaru Impreza WRX STi 2010 model I think is very nice!

Well well look at that
Axxu: Cool to see you also have bmw! Automatic or manual? 19" is a real filler, but is the car lowered?
Bjenn: Ye Axxu's rims are cool. In my picture there is those 17" winter rims you see

I have some better looking original summer rims

Anyways Id like to keep things original
Hosp: Ez Volvo when can drive
Zworqy: Toyota is such a solid car

Manual and not lowered. I like how the chassis of E46's look like, especially coupés.

I driev this now : )
Volvo S40
2004 after facelift
1.8i (92 kw, 125hp)
ABS, cruise control, heated front seats
looks veri najs, imo. This is the pic from first day (boughteded like 2 weeks ago), now much dirtier, coz it stays outside

I haev to clean it properly. Also bought black spray for better looks of outside plastics (below headlights, around rearview mirrors,...), coz got advice it'll look greater.

EOL top 10 kuski of 2014 and 2015.

Thank you, yes it's my gf inside. Holy shit I'm happy with my trade =) The comfort and luxury feeling in this is top notch!
It even has a built in 120 GB HDD which I can put music on and shit. And it has the pro audio package, much better sound than the original speakers.

I bought my first car ever some 6 months ago. 2006 Nissan Primera, not the best car but for my needs it's good enough for now. I don't drive very much and I would prefer public transport but small city so schedules suck. I might not keep this car for long and maybe get electric bike instead. Within city limits it might be faster a lot of the time and ofc it's cheaper / greener and I can borrow a car 90% of the time if I need for longer trip so owning one isn't super necessary anyway.

I'm glad that more and more people think this way. Me and my wife don't even have driving licences yet at 27 (though planning to do that sooner or later, would be max useful for renting cars and road tripping when travelling), I commute everywhere by bike or public transport when necessary, or taxi/uber if really necessary, and I feel 0 need for a car, especially given the traffic (I can get to most places faster or similar by bike than anyone would by car). Most of my friends have driving licences but only 1 has a car, the rest using bikes/scooters/public transport, and occasionally renting from car sharing if needed.
One thing I anticipate though is that when we have kids, it might simply become too convenient to have a car, and we'll yield.
What are others' experiences, do you also feel like cars largely stopped being a default target commodity for "our" generation (unlike for our parents, where it was the no. 1 goal), or is it just me? Obv in rural finland it's gonna be different, asking more the city mans =)

Depends a lot on the area I think. While my brother was living here in Moscow he had literally zero interest in cars (I believe we both were always bewildered by people's obsession with cars, even back in kindergarten), preferring public transportation or even taking long 1+ hour walks. But as soon as he moved to a small city in the USA he just had to get one as everything there is far away, there is no subway and buses don't come often enough.
Like him, I definitely don't plan on getting a car here in Russia. But currently I'm not optimistic about the idea of riding a bike either as the weather seems too shitty for it at least half a year, plus a lot of our roads get super dirty due to poor city planning (ground mixes with snow/rain everywhere). Also I've heard that Russian car owners generally hate bicyclists/motorbikers, who are basically considered freaks and a nuisance.
Still, there does appear to be an increase in people commuting by bikes/electric scooters/segways/etc. It's cool to see, although I wish there were more separate lanes for them, at the very least in parks. I mean, the reason I choose the sidewalk instead of the highway is to avoid fast moving vehicles but now these guys are kinda defeating the point lol. So I feel like the city is not quite ready for that stuff yet, although I guess it's a chicken-and-egg type of situation.

90%+ of guys i know here have a drivers licence and for many of them cars are still the number one thing they talk about, or pretty close to that. not my thing but not judging. other than in the big city where its slightly less convenient (and cost of living is higher so people not having cars is mostly not a matter of choice for many younger ppl) almost everyone has a car not even necessarily for work because for instance dating without one is (lets be real) more difficult by some degree.
my first car i bought is a 2011 bmw 318d (e90), driving it almost daily for 2 years now and love it, dont even need it for work but still couldnt go back to not having spontaneous trips/visiting/taking friends or family anywhere i want any time of the day. i can think of other things i could buy with the money that goes to maintenance, fuel, city parking etc not to mention cost of car itself but none seem to have as big of an impact on quality of everyday life for me at least in this stage of life. i could have been fine with a cheaper car but once you get used to the conveniences theres just no way back to life of no car and thats been the experience of most of my friends too.

+1 agree with balls. When my brother and his GF lived in my city and had a car QoL was a lot better because every week just go buy stuff from cheap place a bit outside of city. Now hev to go to local small store and buy once a week as much as I can carry and is not the best.
Cheaper though as I usually walk or maybe not as much now when it's cold and slippery etc. (Used to pay some 6E with brother driving service, bus like 2E atm.) But really mostly I miss having brother around because I'm going crazy just being in my apps not being able to connect to another human.
