ELMA REACHES SOUTH-AMERICA :-D

Post by Vaitork »

Hey everyone! :lol: Did you know that not only finnish, swedish, norwegian, [put your favorite nordic nationality here], etc... play Elasto? :o

Let me tell you! Elma is growing bigger and bigger here in Venezuela, and I have a lot of friend to compete with, breaking personal records and, of course, learning from your oh-so-impossible-to-imitate replays 8O ... Sure, we suck :roll: , but my point is that Elma is considered here as a great game, sharing its well owned play time with BIG games like Warcraft 3, counter-Strike and that kind of stuff 8) ...

Like I said, we suck :oops: ... BY NOW.......... BUT DON'T GET SURPRISED IN SOME TIME IF YOU SEE IN THOSE "TOP 10" LADDERS A PAIR OF VENEZUELAN "KUSKIES", :twisted: (BY USING YOUR OWN WORD)... well, at least I can keep dreaming... :(

Cool...So now only Africa is missing! :)
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

By the way... Where is that section?

Post by Vaitork »

I guess there must be AT LEAST ONE african boy playing with the bumping motorcycle... That way Elma would be around the world... :)

By the way... Where is that section that Balázs Rózsa should read before planing Elma 2.0? (And by the way... is it written correctly?) You know... that section that said the stuff we want with the game, with the editor, the files and the stuff we DON'T want? Because I wanna add something...

Have you ever played Mario Kart 64? Yes... the one with Mario on a kart (duh!) with a bunch of Nintendo characters... Ok, that game had a "Time Trial" option so you could break your personal record on the tracks (Kind of an Elma style of game) BUT THE INTERESTING PART is that MK64 had a "ghost" option (You know... that invisible, untochable & semi-transparent character that represented your previous try on the track). I don't know if i'm making myself clear, but what i was thinking is that there should be a "ghost" option in Elma so that, while you're playing, you can also see, say, your best replay at the same time. The other "replay" character would be kind of ethereal or just with another color... What do you think? Is it a good idea? Please tell me (And if you don't understand my pathetic english knowledge, tell me so i can repeat all the stuff up there :evil:)

Always cool to see new countries around. There are quite many other countries than just FIN, SWE, DEN, NOR and VEN :].

Current nationalities on Moposite record lists:

AUS = Australian
BEL = Belgian
CAN = Canadian
CHE = Swiss
CHL = Chilean
CZE = Czech
DNK = Danish
EST = Estonian
FIN = Finnish
FRA = French
GBR = British
GER = German
GRC = Greek
HUN = Hungarian
ISL = Icelandic
MIR = Mirandan
NOR = Norwegian
NLD = Netherlandian
NZL = New Zealander
POL = Polish
PRT = Portugese
RUS = Russian
SVK = Slovak
SWE = Swedish
TUR = Turkish
YUG = Yugoslavian

http://moposite.com/info_elasto_mania_new_versions.php

I should collect all topics of Mopolauta related to Elma 2.0 and put them to that site (someone else could also make it :]). Anyway we have talked quite a lot about this ghost bike thingie and at least the majority of us think it's not a good thing (don't argue about it here but in the correct topic which I don't dig up now).

There was even South African records page once. I'm not sure if it still exists.

[about the ghost thing]
i thought of that too, but it will only put people off...
wat they should do is 'auto-save-recs'
so just say u drove best time on over and under, it would save a rec called:
XXyyyy.rec

X = stage number, in this case it would be 04
y = first four letters of the nick u use in elma, mine would be McLe

so if i drove best time on o&u....it would aut-save a rec to my rec folder as 04McLe.rec

and also, where it says 'best time' down the bottom, it should also have there: 'replay saved'

another 'bright' idea from me is that u should be able to assign recs to a certain stage....just say u were 'hoyling' o&u and u wanted to see the mopo rec of it....you could have an option in choosing 'Replays' in Over and Unders Menu....this would save you pressing escape alot to go back to where the replay opton is now

but, who listens to me...

Hey abula!
The guys before are right... Israeli is missing in the nationality list in the right side of the records page...
I think you've forgetten it...
maybe when I sent my records in as the first Israeli there I wasn't important enough to put my nationality there...but Israel grew a bit since then...

So, The Israeli letters are ISR so put us now...
