Who do you think will win? Or are you even going to watch?
I'd say Brazil.

I guess Brazil is the big favorite to win this, yes, but I'm hoping for England or Portugal :)

And of course, would be very nice if Sweden would do well again this year.

Well that would be rather boring, having same final as last time.

I hope Germany wins Ivory Coast in the final ;)

Today will be the first matches of this world cup's most even and tough group: USA - Czech Republic and Italy - Ghana.

Myself I'm kinda thinking USA and Czech Republic will go through to round 2 from this group.

So far, I think Bokhylle did the right choice. Very interesting match. Too bad Italia has the lead with 1-0. I hope Ghana will win =)

fuck!
maybe some ppl remember the pic i posted in #across , i was hoping for japan and ghana and both lost today...
quit sad....

funny thing is that me and some friends connected about 10 tri-power-cables (you know what i mean) and hung them out of my window (3rd floor) to watch the matches in the street...
it was max cool because many ppl passed by and stopped for watching or having a small talk, really funny...
i will take pics the next time we do that : )

I laughed hard at the african teams. Angola gave Portugal quite a hard time, they played quite rough. As for the referee of the match between Italy - Ghana, he sure was either biased or simply blind. I enjoyed the way Italy had a damned time handling those hard slidings and kicks by Ghanese players. Especially that truly red card worthy one after offside for italy was ordered. That guy Pimpong made be think of King Kong by the way. =)
SveinR, I also watched Aussies and Japan, and indeed an amazing match it was; Japan sucked, aussies sucked even more. Hiddink has a talent of making total crap look good :p
Oh, and the match of Holland - Serbia(-Montenegro) was awful. We quite sucked, we won't get so far once again.

For now my favourites are: Brasil, Argentina, Germany and Czech. But czech will probably get bad luck again. :?

Amazing match by Spain today, pretty much the whole team played exceptionally well. Easily the best performance by any team so far.

Maybe Spain finally will do well in a championship...

Was in school at that time. How did it go?

EDIT. Nevermind. Saw the results now. 4-0 surely is impressive.

I couldn't watch the last part of the match of Germany - Poland, but what I saw from the first half was quite stunning. Poland seemed for a moment way tougher than it had been against Equador. Ofcourse I'm happy to see germany winning, but poland get's a bitter burden to carry now.

Thanks for being with Poland guys, after a loss, we really tried best, I broke into tears of happiness after match even though i knew that there won't be any chances fo us, now we got eliminated after Equador - Costarica (1:0).
Again thanks :* :*

Australia have proved themselves in Soccer to a certain extent now with the win over Japan. Yes Brazil will be tough, but aussie spirit is there and we may be able to get a draw which should be enough to get into the knockout.

please don't call it soccer.... it's called FOOTBALL.... FOOT... like those u walk on... and BALL... like kick the ball?... FOOTBALL.. get it?

And if you think about it... american football has almost nothing to do with FOOTball... they use their hands.. not feet. ok there are 1 player from each team that are allowed to kick the ball.. but only under special surcomstances. And it's not even a real ball they use. mongo oval.

Americans are just mongoes

Good Luck Australia, although I know you're lost anyway.

Holland did kind of well against Ivory Coast. I'm though not yet convinced of a certain place in some semi or just the final.

Three good matches today, with the last two being very entertaining with lots of non-stop action, perhaps the two most entertaining matches of the World Cup so far. Ghana really impressed me against Czech Republic, and I think USA will have a hard time beating them in their next match.

Unfortunately for the US they didn't beat Italy today, which I think would've been deserved, but at least they managed to show themselves off as a far better team than what they showed in their first match.

Fucking insane. I cannot understand completely how Czech and Ghana and Italy and US performed today. Totally utter bullshit weirdness holy fuck what the hell is what's been on my mind while watching the italians struggle with 10 men against 9 regarded as noob americans. How?

Just the tought of how well Italy played earlier, how bad the americans were against Czech. How Ghana was crushed, makes me question wether the world has turn upside down and I did not yet notice it.

Pleasant World Cup until now, I say! :D
