I didn't question the effect of newer or older computers on FPS. I only wonder how much the FPS's can differ between older and newer systems. And then I'd like to elaborate the question to what makes the FPS differ the most?

Do you need examples for this to make the question more clear to you?

And if this sounds too repitive to you, or incomprehensible, then I suggest you call me clitoris and stuff, whenever you like.

I don't think this thread is about vsync, really.
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

goofu, i never did the hang too ( if you're talking about the same hang as me ) but, i have a 33.xx time.

kelgar once showed me another way of doing that hang ( surely known by everyone in the scene but it helped me a lot ). It's a little slower than the casual hang but, it's waaaay easier...

Just practice, basically. The problem you're having is pretty much the standard problem that anyone would expect to get when trying this style. Keep hoyling and eventually you'll learn exactly how to do the volts and you'll have the balls to brake late enough to get the apple.

Btw, the drop after you get the apple is also gonna drive you mad...

yes i've hoyled serp to, sierra is absolutely right, and even more on the last point.

for the hang, don't forget to press left before reaching the last polygon, it's 10times better to have the apple

my advice - merge your replay with pro replay and see where you lose speed. Then just look extra-carefully at what the driver in the pro rec does in that very part and imitate it.

i got 14.22 WU, fucking suck at the level, never been good at 'extreme' details like infected or Crazy and sach. tune has quite a lot to do with it, at least vsync off seems to help with the wall. but ultimately if you hope to get 14:10 or better you better know a fuck load about Elma bikes.

You need vsync off and at least 300 fps. 14,1x is almost impsy on my comp (I have like 130 fps with vsync off) but on my father's comp (3xx fps) ez 14,05 :)
I wish i could have better comp....

Need some help on Flat Track... This is my top10:

Level 2, Flat Track:
00:17:05 Michael
00:17:08 Michael
00:17:13 Michael
00:17:13 Michael
00:17:14 Michael
00:17:14 Michael
00:17:14 Michael
00:17:14 Michael
00:17:15 Michael
00:17:15 Michael

and my average run is about 17,40.
I already d/led all 16,xx recs from moposite (old WR style), but I can't understand how they drive faster :/

Here's my rec:
http://up.k10x.net/bxycmwmr/02WkE.rec

And I aim for anything better than my record, even 17,04 will satisfy me.

Will appreciate any advice. thanks!

edit: nevermind, made it with more hoyling ^^

That curvaceous start makes me so damn angry.

I love the rest of the level, if i only could pull off to take both apple more often. Is there any special trick to do to take the first two apples like 6 out of 10 times or better (or am i simply bad at this level) ?

it mightve just been the keys i was using (up down left right, right ctrl for turn and insert for alo) but ff start required such quick movement and lots of complicated presses for me. impsy to teach, just something you have to fiddle with and get the touch for :/ very painful to hoyl it was

I can get the start ez, but getting to the flower from the triangle is the hardest part, I miss so many 11:xx runs, mainly because I just can't go far enough.

It's clear i think, just look at John's 1:23,35 rec, at 43 - 44 sec he makes a jump when one apple below isn't taken, if he could take this apple in that jump at 43-44 sec, then he doesn't need to loose seconds by taking it from below(at 1:03,82), then ez 1,17 :)

flat track... my everyday nightmare!

my first long jump is always like 2 millimeters too short.

but, for the landing of the jump, i think you have to press break a millisecond (if you don't have mega length) and acceleration and volt left. i think the longer you press break, the least long your next jump will be.

never did the trick, always fuck the first jump.
